I scored some books from Frank at the VCC. Everything was spot on and he was great to deal with. Buy with confidence.

If you need a drop box, I'll be your huckleberry. Just don't F me over.
Thanks Lizards. Most of what I wanted is gone already. I should have whined a couple of days ago.
But I’ll call on you to be my huckleberry next time around. And, don’t worry, I never F over my huckleberries.

This thread is pure torment for an overseas buyer. So many bargains that I can’t have.

I have just bought a couple of largish lots from Jim of mostly silver age books. I can only compliment the transactions and can find no reason to complain.
A great seller and a very friendly guy to boot. I will be buying again from Jim.

It is very hard to see how flat a book can be from a scan.
However, if they are too flat to be natural (i.e. probably pressed), I will disclose it.
I was just admiring them is all. I just thought they looked well cared for.
-
Man, these books are clean, and flat too.

If they are going to kill a minor character, then to show it before the season ends means there isn't a cliffhanger at all. Killing a major character would be a cliffhanger even if they did show it because it would shock the audience into wanting to know what the response is.
-
Yeah. You would think some reconnaissance to check out the feasibility of the plan would be the first step.

That Torquemada badge is awesome!

I wish more collectors felt that way!
I get why people focus on keys. But if you consider yourself someone who knows comics, you need to at least read the Kirby issues.
I do the opposite. I collect everything but the keys because I can't afford the damn things.
I hate that the movies are making the keys multiply.

I deeply apologize but I stand by my assertion that this is the ugliest key of them all. The torch doesn't even have a real shape - just an orange blob. This is weird because he is much more defined in the interior art and in successive issues (even #2). And trying to figure out exactly what was going on occupied me for some time when I first saw this cover decades ago. Was it underwater? Was it out of the water? Were those white plumes of smoke or underwater lines? Was that flame looking white just below Torch's foot supposed to be white or, since it looks like flame, was it supposed to be colored orange to imply the very wood floor (deck?) was on fire?
And who on earth dressed Horton???.
I used to think that it was a demonic ghost coming through a mirror or something. It was decades before I clicked that it's the Human Torch.

It's definitely improved from the first episode. I nearly didn't get to part two.
I thought part two was pretty funny and it got me hooked a bit. The blood soaked dinner guests making excuses for their state was hilarious.
I think Lucy Lawless will turn up and save the cop in the bookstore. Seems pretty likely a turn.

Cover price at a bookstore on Sunday.
Why don't these things happen to me?

I pulled out my boxes over the weekend to file some new arrivals and decided to take a pic of my favorites.
Apparently you and I think and collect alike...
Just an outrageous collection. I can dream of a few low grade copies of those, at best.

Got some great books from Mr Malcontent. Very happy with my deal.
