  1. Welcome back! Good looking book!
  2. Yes, welcome to the club! Mine has the marks right on Spideys face a few posts above but all of them are going to have something we have to live with. I went with the one I did because the rest of the book was so sharp! Your copy looks great!
  3. Where is the best place to just copy and paste the list? Sorry if it has been said a million times but this is a long thread and I would like to add everyone on it to my blockers.
  4. Wow, what a coincidence. I just bought an $80+ bold in an auction from him a few hours ago.
  5. Great input guys, thanks. I don't necessarily expect a big bump but I could see it spike some as people get pumped about Spidey for a while when he appears in the MU movies.
  6. Do you guys think Amazing Spider-man #1 will get a bump once Spidey enters the Marvel Movie U? I just picked up a 5.0 about a week ago. I had 85% of the money saved when the announcement came out that Sony and Marvel are working together and I was freaking out trying to pick up a copy before more news came out. I get that AF #15 is a larger key but I kind of expect a bump on Amazing #1 after Spideys first MU movie appearance. Anyone else feeling along these lines?
  7. I'm in! I picked this up from fellow boardie Greg Reese and I'm really excited to have a copy. This baby presents really well!!!
  8. yep - I would say it keeps random finds into one area - not a bad thing - otherwise there would be many similar thread variants for books "found in the wild" As the OP of this thread, I've both contributed and also sat back and watched as this thread, amazingly, has grown immensely over the 5+ years it's been on here. As Transplant and other people have noted as of late, this thread's original purpose was to highlight finds at garage sales, flea markets and antique malls...basically, the start from scratch treasure hunt methods. However, in the 1st paragraph of my original post on page 1, I did say "I find comics other ways (eBay, the boards, online auctions, etc.) but my anticipation always seems to be higher with the old manual foot search methods." So I believe that even if it's a craigslist find or digging through dollar boxes at a place like a Vintage Stock, a Hastings store or even your local comic shop, if you think it's noteworthy go ahead and post away. In all of these cases you're still having to go out and perform the manual foot search and you never know what you're going to find. The anticipation is always still there even though it's probably not near as much as a garage sale, flea market or antique mall. We all like to see great comic/comic related buys and a lot of what's posted keeps us intrigued as to what might still be out there. I also think it's best to keep these type finds in one thread. So post away! Good stuff! I love this thread! Its my favorite on the boards.
  9. I got an early copy of Destiny yesterday on Xbox One! Had time to play a couple hours last night - AWESOME!!!
  10. Welcome to all the new members lately! Awesome books!
  11. Update: I received my first order of 10 and these things and they are WAY better than expected. Excellent product. You can also keep your CGC's in their UV protection bags while doing the wall mount method with the product. I am really happy with these items and will probably order some more in a few months. I've bought these aswell, they are awesome! awesome!
  12. Great looking book! Welcome to the club!
