  1. Actually...the X-MEN #136 pose... I submit from here ( http://lcomics.blogspot.com/2010_12_01_archive.html#863502456873888967 Don't want to misappropriate, haha... funny) Someone actually went through the trouble to collect quite a few here: http://www.comicvine.com/homage-covers/12-43734/uncanny-x-men-136crisis-on-infinite-earths7/108-6977/
  2. Such an awesome piece. I love the creativity he brings to these. Anyways... Here's a little piece I got this week. Nothing big, but I think it's been awhile since I've posted too. Gettin rusty.
  3. Sweet! I picked up a few things this week including: Nothing too exciting, but nothing was damaged in the mail, so it was great in that respect. The Transformers page spoke to me in the sense that it was fun in that it pokes a bit of fun at the hobby of collecting, so just a reminder to not collect to accumulate, but collect to enjoy. My first Tick page too. Nothing like the Tick stuff on CAF now, but Eli's probably the second best Tick artist.
  4. My first (but hopefully not last) Tick page by Eli 5 Stone. Not a huge acquisition, but definitely a fun little piece. Unfortunately, I had a Transformers page too, but it got damaged and I'm working with the seller towards a resolution....
  5. Bravo my friend. That was a well fought bidding war. It couldn't have gone to a bigger fan.
  6. Yes!!! Finally some awesome pieces I had been waiting for several weeks for. One of those times that it didn't hurt to ask... There are probably as close as to getting a "grail" of some OA pages from these issues as I will get, but they are definitely some cool moments in the book, especially the 3/4 splash.
  7. Seems like PayPal / eBay could have handled it, but I don't know if your timeline is too drawn out by now... I'm not sure since (fortunately, *knock on wood*) I really haven't had to deal with these issues yet. You might want to see if he has an art rep and (kindly) ask for some help through that avenue.
  8. He does, and did a lot of airplanes, fighter jets, etc in his work, so you might be surprised. He had an awesome sketch of 2 jets dog fighting. Interesting... I'll definitely have to stop by. Thanks for your insight! Now if I just have enough money to get everything I want....
  9. Neat sketch! I was curious, but how long does Herbe take to do his sketches? I might be going to ask him for a full figure one at a con soon and was thinking of doing a sketchbook. I bought that one out of his book, but he did a sketch cover for me in pencil and marker a couple years ago, it took maybe 20 minutes. He works pretty quick. Thanks for the info. I'll see what he has. To be honest, I'm interested in Transformers stuff, which I imagine wouldn't be in his book.

  11. Thanks, it's my first professionally framed piece, it was a great deal and I do love it.
  12. Ta Da! After a few snags, here it is. It's quite large and I may have a space for it, but it will have to wait on the floor until I can figure out the best way / area to hang it.
  13. They indeed do. I saw that it was like... 200 for the museum quality class in one instance for the 3 image ones I'm not sure how to do it either because 2 are 11x17 and one is only a comic size. The balance is going to be an issue and I don't know how good they will lay it out at Michael's. I mean... it is 70% off here, but still this might be pricey.
  14. So I have a question for those who get things framed often. I have a cover's inks and the pencils. I was thinking of doing a mount with the comic book to show it off. Would it be a good idea to mount all 3 as separate pieces or something different? Here are the pieces in question: The two images are on 8.5x11 sheets and the comic is a standard modern age one. Thanks!
  15. Here's cover B from Transformers Spotlight: Jazz by Andrew Griffith. It's on an 11x17 art board, but on the reverse. I just got it from the artist. He did all the rest of the artwork digitally (coloring and ink) to create the cover. I'm really excited to get something like this. I'd never think of owning a newer cover, but here one is I think it looks great and look forward to having it framed.
  16. The first two were done by Guido Guidi and the last one was inked by Brian Garvey, but the pencils were done by Don Perlin. Nice Alex Ross piece you have there.
  17. Hi all, I'm new(er) to posting here, so I'll put up a few things I got recently... I have a few more things in my comic art gallery, but I'm mostly collecting Transformers artwork, though I may be interested in other things as you could see if you went to the gallery. I really like the bar piece as it's really "unrealistic" but a bit playful. I do enjoy it for the characters.
