Sweet! Question: How do you do an ebay search to see the price of items that have already sold? And if you are using the new pain in the behind eBay iPad app.. Use the refine button after searching for something. This will bring up a box of options. What took me a while to figure out is you can scroll down in this box, there is a sold items option after scrolling down.

I agree, but every time I'm in my LCS there is always people still buying super hero books.

it actually makes no economic sense at all. if you're relying on customers to hopefully pick up a book and then buy the next 30 issues, you're asking for trouble. it's one thing to keep a book at cover until the next issue comes out, or at least until the book is older than a week, but selling books at cover when they're $15-25 on ebay and have been out for a minute is horrible business, and it is one reason why stores go out of business. It's Friday. Tonight's gonna be a good night.

Haha. I don't mind being the evil hoarder, but what I actually want is around 20-25 copies. I have 9 now, so I am getting close. Of those, I plan on getting them pressed and slabbed and then will keep the highest graded copies and maybe will let go of the lower grades. My risk is that everyone I get could be junk. Not bagging on you.. But why not just wait till all the graded ones go up for sale, save your money and buy the best one...

Seriously. I just listed three ToT #1 first prints on ebay for $80 as a BIN/Best Offer. In less than two hours 16 people looked at the auction, I received three different offers in the $50-70 range, and finally a fourth buyer hit the BIN at my asking price. You can speculate as to the motivations I guess, but there is demand for this book... and damn, if those of us on this board do have this kind of power, I wish we'd flex it a lot more often. Congrats on the sale. It does seem strange to see some of these sales on eBay when, as Michael said, there were plenty of copies of this book at C2E2 that just sat there. Nobody was buying it for $15 to $30. Maybe we need another word for when speculator's overpay buying from each other on eBay to give an impression that a book is hot. Incestuous? No. That's kinda creepy. I like what you are doing here with new words Chuck.. I thought about Icy/hot but that just doesn't sound right.. So I though Shaquille O'Neil is the Icy/hot spokesman.. So how about Shaqed. Or Shacked. I.e. that's a Shaqed book.

Got a box with three ASM slabs today. One which was not in Mikes sales list, but I inquired about it from his regestry books and he sold it to me at a nice price. Great guy to deal with and hope to deal with again in the future. Thanks

Just finished issue #2 and loved it.. I'm not too happy with the TV head guy, the only gripe I have with all this.. Issue one was ok for me, but after this one it looks like its just going to get better. (thumbs u from me.
