This is like five threads in one
And it is evolving !
-
I don't find it a good thing when people pop in with just a few posts and make it sound like they are some one else who knows stuff
Fellows post who you are or go away
Please
-
My guess this will not be resolved till the book is sold then sent in again
That may take a long long time
CGC will just explain that they are human and grading is subjective
The train has left the station for CGC !
-
I'm a noob can someone tell me if this is cgc's biggest single fiasco? I know they had the Costanza scandal but I mean single book fiasco.
Better definition of fiasco needed
All they ever say is grading is subjective and humans make errors
-
There is one more step to take send it to PGX
See what happens
-
Now that ARH is doing frezetta and changing up what they sell I would think it will be on the back burner for a long time sadly

Welcome to the Boards Kav
Feel free to post a lot

Yeah, it's been there for three weeks with not so much as a single bid. Wonder why they had it graded by those guys? Pretty nice copy though from what I can see. Nice centering, which is pretty rare on this issue.
Bet it was a really nice 9.6 worth 30 bucks they popped into a PGX to get the 9.8
They should of tried a press ?

I'm a big fan of pence copies, have a bunch of high grade ones laying around that I should get graded at some point.

I cried when cheetah sold his red set
Still am
It reminded me of Wizard selling his V3 set
I may be scared for life
I don't think cheetah's set sold. Sure would like that #11 though. As for the Vol.3 set, let's just say the guy was a real PITA. More upset as to who it went to than actually selling it. After 80 billion emails I finally told him to send it back, and I would refund him in full. All of a sudden everything was fine. Geez.
You can come to therapy with me

If I had to choose between a topless girl ( Boobs blanked out) or Hitler on a comic book cover Hitler would offend me more ( he killed millions of people )
But CGC makes the rules on this
-
Just found out my endless never ending Quest for the imposable to find Marvel feature v2 #1 in pence was all in vain
quicksilver from England (one of those guys that speak strange and drive on wrong side of the road ) tells me it wasn't published in Pence
Well I am devastated and will need therapy

No one seems disturbed about beachbum having his sales thread shut down

Red Sonja has always been interesting in me in the same way that Doc Savage has. I mean, it's not just that I want to canoodle with both of them...they just seem to be some of the most licensed characters out there, jumping publishers and decades. Always seems to be an audience for Big Red.
What I loved as a kid was the Doc savage Novels
Real easy to read in one sitting and full of adventure

ARH Studios two new licenses Frank Frazetta 1/4 exclusive license
YES FREZETTA !!! YIPPY
----------
What they are doing ---> Its with great pleasure to announce two of our new licenses.
The licenses are Tarzan (and Jane) and Frank Frazetta in full majestic 1/4!
We have already Troy working on a Tarzan fighting a gigantic crocodile diorama. Ehren Biennert sculpting Frazetta's Indomitable. Both will be ready in time for San Diego Con.
Also we will have Troy sculpting Frazetta's Atlantis and Ehren sculpting Frazetta's Queen of Egypt in time for New York Con in October.
Here are at least 4 of the sculpts from Frazetta that will be made by ARH Studios Inc. - unlike the last few sculpts from us, these will be true to the art and very accurate to the artwork.
-----
The idea behind those two new licenses, especially Frazetta is to produce museum quality works. All the pieces will be in 1/4th scale, and during all my negotiations with Frazetta’s family, there was one point that was very clear since the beginning for all of us.
We want to represent Frazetta’s work in the most meaningful and faithful way possible. It means we will not be taking any “creative license” with the paintings, and we will not be “interpreting” it either. Our sculptures will be exactly like a 3D image of the paintings, so if for instance Frazetta didn’t paint the tiger’s legs with much definition, we won’t do it for him! It will be a rough sculpture in the areas that Frazetta left it rough.
Also, we will be producing relief sculptures of Frazetta’s paintings, so we will have not only the statue but a “wall sculpture” like a painting but with relief that you can hang on the wall. All the relief sculptures will have the same measurements of the original paintings, so it will be very close to have the real painting on your wall!

So cool for the next 2 years

Nice action statue on the way ARH
Link may not work
Picture
This has been floating around for a long time; it's not confirmed yet.
Considering that this is intended to be 1/4 scale, it's ambitious to say the least. That said, there's something off about Sonja's pose relative to her attackers; it doesn't quite flow.
It is the open mouth seems wrong (Maybe the entire face )compared to the present side show statue that rocks
ARH I think has a hard time doing a good face after seeing the slave girl in the conan snake piece
