Hi All, What is the procedure for removing someone from PL? I posted this a few weeks ago and not sure if I need to do anything else. At the beginning of April (or there about) I had asked that member jaspersk be placed on the PL. My original post is here (near bottom of page) My Original Post He was added to the list on April 7. I hadn't heard a thing from jaspersk and then on April 27th I got an email from Pay Pal saying that he had paid me for the book. At that point the book was donated to the charity thread for Fazybones. So, I immediately refunded the money and sent him a PM explaining again the actions that I took and that the book was gone and money refunded. He responded apologizing for the mix up and that he had simply forgotten about the sale. My thoughts are to ask that he be removed from the PL. I have to assume that he made an honest mistake and give him the benefit of the doubt. All of this could have been avoided had he responded to any of my PMs. Thoughts?

I haven't framed my OA with original cover yet, but if/when I do I will put the entire book in the frame. Thank you for the reply, but wouldn't it look unbalance with their thickness difference ? Well, I'm not really an expert on this, but I believe if you are using mats that the thickness difference would be minimal. Perhaps one of the artists or more experienced here can chime in on this. If you are taking it to a framing shop to have done they'll be able to tell you as well. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I think a few people, including you, have spoken up in agreement, I think miamisoundmachine3434 was going to post a better PM exchange, but anyone who has read it agrees that mrmaha made a PL worthy move. Not trying to poke the bear here, but in how many cases is it the buyer causing the issue and not the seller?

I agree with bababooey. I am relatively new here. I have bought a lot of books here without any issues. I have had one sales thread and the only issue that came out of it was on the buyer's end. I don't think limiting new members would solve anything. This is a community - there are rules, just like there are in society. And just like in society people will choose to ignore the rules. Before, I posted anything on these forums, I read all the rules, as becoming a member of this community I wanted to be a good citizen.

There's a sales thread? I was going by PM exchange only. No problem. I mentioned that there was a sales thread in the first sentence of my nomination post. Also, I held the book for 30 days because it is my understanding that I am bound by the rules here (correct me if I am wrong). I did not hold the 19, as he didn't commit to buy it.

No, read the thread again. He did commit to buy. "hello let me just buy the #6 for now. give me your paypal address and total". The price was posted in the sales thread. He wanted a total to Paypal.

NOMINATION FOR ADDITION TO PL: JASPERSK I would like to formally ask that member jaspersk (member number 25377) be put on the PL. I had a sales thread (now closed). Jaspersk first contacted me on 2/25/13 with an interest in two books on my sales thread, asking for a price. I responded with a price on that day. On March 1, jaspersk PM'd me saying that he only wanted one of the books and again asked for a price. I responded with the price. He agreed, asked for total and my Paypal address. I responded back with my invoice, I haven't heard from jaspersk since. I made a few attempts to contact, but with no results. I have waited the requisite 30 days. I am sending jaspersk a separate PM notifying that I am nominating him/her for the PL. The book in question has been basically held hostage by jaspersk for a month, as per my understanding the rules of these boards, I can not sell the book to anyone else until 30 days have passed, and/or jaspersk has a chance to make good on his/her stated intentions. This is the first time I've had to do something like this here. Please advise on how I should move forward. It has been 24 days since jaspersk agreed to purchase my book. Quick research will show you that jaspersk only has 3 posts. It looks as if jaspersk pulled the same thing with another member's sales thread. I hope this "early call out" of jaspersk will help other sellers, so that they don't get into a similar situation.

I'm not sure if it's appropriate at this point to name the boardie. However, I would like to put the boardie on notice publicly that if after 30 days I don't receive payment I will move that the boardie be placed on the probation list.The boardie in question has only 3 posts. It looks as if he pulled the same thing with another member's sales thread. As it stands now I am sitting on a book that I may be able to sell elsewhere, but I am bound by the rules to wait my 30 days plus 3 before that book is free and clear. Do I call out the boardie publicly now or wait for the 30 days to pass? Thanks!
