  1. That would explain the rapid progression from second interview to hiring to training all in the span of 24 hours.
  2. Pretty sure it was Roy who told him not to make selling comics his bread and butter in a thread ages ago. I must've missed that. But then why keep sending him more books to sell? Something about a Dog in the Monkey house reaching the third moon of Capricorn over the Masonic Temple in Jonestown....made him do it. I've never understood how my life can be predetermined based upon when my parents decided to have sex. I blame a lot of my life on when your parents decided to have sex.
  3. Which CC are we referring to? There are two members with those username initials that both have a tendency to post dumb comments.
  4. Why did you ship the book when he requested the cancellation? Not sure I follow that logic.
  5. That's not what I said. Don't be a dolt. These exist in America as well
  6. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Selection_bias So-selection bias-going to Europe to learn art is a fallacy, right? Going to Europe for school can include a hell of a lot more life experience than just art.
  7. I would straight-up return that. Make the seller issue a full refund, and if not, file a SNAD claim. I have already initiated a return and filed the claim. Sigh.
  8. Seller: gow32 Incident: Shipped a slab in an envelope with no protection Result:
  9. Ali paid quickly, his communication was great, and he was very easy to deal with.
  10. Just to be a complete pedant, ive always been fascinated with the term snake oil salesman. Clark Stanley, the man prosecuted by the government and who gave rise to the term, sold "Snake oil". The interesting thing is, it worked. He was not sued over it not working, he was sued because his concoction (which contained a bunch of capsaicin) was not snake oil. So it did verifiably work. It just wasn't what he called it. Always fascinated by that. #threadderail That is interesting. I too have wondered about the etymology of that phrase (though I've been too lazy to actually look it up). I give your post a 9.5 with a chance at a 9.6.
  11. Dan's the man! Paid quickly and has fantastic taste. Great pickup!
  12. Picked these up recently. I don't see too many Zulli sigs out there. His Soul's Winter run was pretty bananas. Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtleBat!
  13. I have a Batman 200 signed by Neal Adams available here: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=9347172#Post9347172 Good sig placement, if I do say so myself.
  14. Check the last post here: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Board=86&Number=9257993&Searchpage=1&Main=405107&Words=shellback&topic=0&Search=true#Post9257993
  15. Peter signs every year on FCBD at Shellback with Steve Lavigne and often with Eric Talbot. This makes for a great opportunity to get 3 creators at once. However, Eastman does not attend the Shellback signings and Laird doesn't do conventions so the days of getting Eastman/Laird at once are pretty much done. Regarding getting SS books at Shellback, that was an option this year but only for people who actually attended the show. There were no mail-ins.
