Thanks Ryan =D
I see, that you started with Bat sketches too.
I did. It's a character that lends itself so perfectly to different styles and interpretations. Plus, he's been My Guy since I was knee high to a Scarecrow. Right now I'm trying to focus on Bat villains but they come up so rarely it seems like.
-
These are gross. You should donate them to the Ryan Atlas Fund for Making Ryan Atlas' SS Collection Better. It's a worthy cause. Seriously, though, your Bats collection makes me so jealous I want to puke with rage and sadness.

Got this guy to trade. Sweet Totleben piece. I've lately been looking for Batman villains, TMNT, Jonah Hex and Swamp Thing.

Also as with Mr. Sakai, it's not that I doubt anyone on here. I just try to be as careful as possible with the people on the list. I've been shocked at how many people rely on the list and don't want to mislead anyone in any way.

Does anyone know what shows Stan Sakai is attending this year?2012 Convention schedule
by Stan Sakai » Fri Jun 10, 2011 9:38 +0000
I'm starting to firm up plans for 2012 conventions. These are still tentative, though I was invited and accepted. A lot can happen in the next year. So far, I've got:
Anime Los Angeles, January 6-8, 2012
Angouleme, France, January 26-29, 2012
KatsuCon, Washington DC, February 17-19, 2012 (looking forward to this, because Sharon has never been to DC).
WonderCon, March 16-18
Stumptown Comic Fest, Portland, OR, April 28 & 29
Comic Con International: San Diego, some time in July
Anime Weekend Atlanta, Atlanta, GA September 28-30
San Diego Comic Fest, San Diego, October 19-21

Do the inserts in JLE 33 and Superman contain the full 16 pages of the promo?
Yeah all 16 pages are there. Looks like the only difference is "advertisement" is printed on the top of each of the pages.
No cover price either.
-
That auction that sold for $172 looks like it was trimmed or something. If you look at the pics on the auction page, the word "advertisement" is cut off on each page.

No, there was a giant sales thread of Turner SS books recently and I do not think many sold. People want insane money for them.
No kidding, I'm going to list one this weekend that is a 9.6 and start it at $50 and cross my fingers anyone even bites.
I hear ya, it all depends on what issue you have. The cover I put up is one of 7 cgc SS and since MT passed there won't be any other ones ever made. If you're auctioning off 1 of 300 then the price will reflect it.
So in response to the guy who thumbs up-ed me for "not having an understanding of the basic selling rules" I would suggest you keep your comments to yourself.
Yeah, Sean, why you gotta instigate? Don't you know anything about Turner sigs? Yeesh.

Another from a collection I'm pulling together, the DC Millennium Editions. There are a few that no longer have any creators living, but I'm going to get all that I can. Two in particular I am looking for are All Star Western and Mad. If anyone knows where they are, drop me a line!
Awesome!

Re: So... who IS going to San Diego this year?
by Stan Sakai » Fri May 11, 2012 9:30 +0000
I will be there, as usual. This will be my 34th consecutive SD Con. I'll be at my usual booth.

I have two Totleben sketches listed on ebay right now (I'm sure you're aware of their rarity):

If you're interested, shoot me a PM. The board prices will be at my own cost so inquire for better prices than what's listed on the auction pages.

The regular color version. No $30 option here:

That's sick!
Hey, does anyone know the print run on the TMNT Ultimate Collection 1? Prices have gone a little bananas the last few weeks.
-
If anyone's looking for TMNT blanks I have some NECRAs here:

Here's an interesting take:

Woah, didn't know this thread existed. Nice! I had a full run of MM 1-24, Family 1-3 and all 5 TPBs but sold the floppies last year and am in the process of selling my TPBs right now. Financial necessity and all that. It's sad to see them go but I'm actually holding out hope that Marvel will somehow, some way, some day reprint the original run and finish 25 and 26 in a single recolored Omnibus edition. Probably unrealistic because of all the rights stuff but

I'll join this club with a book I picked up from Greg Reece. I've been trying to find a lower grade copy for a while that wasn't either overpriced or missing chunks and/or pages. This will satisfy me until I can upgrade later on.

I feel obligated to add this to Rich's ridiculous Swampy 37 post:
