  1. If he pops in here, we really are spoiled
  2. How many books is he going to be working on, new avengers, avengers, MP and EOW, any others? Oh and TBP
  3. The cover to 2 is just as good if not better
  4. Wouldn't be surprised if they changed it, lots of love for this book
  5. +1 He's confirmed there will be NO Variants for the first issue!
  6. Exactly its the goofiness that I enjoyed. This book just struck me as fun. Its weird, sometimes creepy, but I think there might be a message in there from Todd somewhere. I think we all cheer for a lovable loser. I feel like he is Charlie Brown missing the football over and over again in the first issue made me chuckle several times. Exactly my thought a Charlie Brown feel where everything goes wrong! Really like how that first issue was, just disappointed how it is only 4 issues!
  7. Made my first OA purchase today, thought it was cool to get 3 consecutive pages
  8. Saga has had some up and downs before the latest mania. The RRP was always expensive though, which is why (as I was too late), I never bought one. Then when I saw the spike coming in early january, I bought a 9.6 (to at least avoid some of the premium). I think becuase regular saga slabs never broke through the $100 barrier, people discounted the book as a financial winner. Once the spike started, then everyone who took it for granted that saga was easy to get, scrambled to get caught up/positioned. Right now that initial spike has kind of died down as lots of supply has come on. A floor is being built, and the supply will dwindle away. 6 months from now, not many people will be selling raw saga sets imo. I think that makes for a good model for a non-tv show successful modern comic. It will come and go in waves. East of West will have variants, for sure, as other pointed out. The convention will have them. The 1st print will not be a good early flip candidate, many people will try to quick flips them for $10 etc. The variants will be expensive from the get go, especially if there are only a couple. If the book is a hit (story/art), follow the standard sage advise, "wait for issue 6". By the time, the initial quick flippers will have been run dry, TPB will come out, and prices will start to rise. My :cloud9:Thank you, exactly the kind of response I wanted
  9. Ive heard mixed reactions, one LOVED it, one HATED it. Which is it
  10. The onl other thing I am worried about is, SAGA only got this big push after announced as the best book of the year. If EOW is even a good story but not great, it can't get too big, can it?
  11. EoW will be under-ordered too. And there will be a 2nd printing and possibly 3rd, 4th... who knows? Plenty of people who know it's coming out and want it won't pre-order and will come to the internet all bummed out saying "my lcs didn't have any left", and comic shops themselves still won't have learnt, and will sell out in 3 hours. And then there are all the lazy folk who don't even know about its existence until #5 comes out. It's pretty much guaranteed. Saga was one of the most anticipated books in the history of forever. How on earth did that book need a bajillion printings? Why weren't the orders high enough to begin with? What did shops do - just order an extra 2 copies or what? Blows my mind. Between you and Ryan I am starting to become optimistic.
  12. How many variants for this do you see coming out?
  13. I see the points but all the LCS in my area have been getting requests for ToT, Revival, Saga, and Manhattan Projects, they underordered each by countless copies, I believe that thousands of comic stores have the same issue and really woulnt want to miss the boat on the next image #1. If not majority of the store owners, most of them who are ahead of the curve will be doing this.
  14. I can only hope, I preordered ten at the beginning of the month, feeling skeptical now, but if the book turns out to be a seller i would be overjoyed
  15. I just don't want to speculate on a book that will have a print run of 50 000+
  16. After seeing peoples posts of ordering 100 copies each, and speaking to 2 LCS who both are ordering 75 and 50 copies . This book should be well printed. To put it into perspective, the one LCS orders 1-2 copies of new image books, while the other usualy orders 5-8.
  17. This book was exploding before, now with a creator posting here, the sky is the limit
  18. Instant payment! Great buyer, pleasure to do business with!
  19. I tried to put a big order through them a month ago I believe it was Nowhere men 1, they gave me a quote and told me the order was good, I sent the creditcard info only to get an email a few days later claiming they can only send 1 per customer.
