  1. You are breaking my heart man. *looks at empty wallet*
  2. I just want to say that I love Dinosaur Jr. The BAND that is.
  3. There is no newshane. There is no oldshane. There are many Shanes, but they exist all at once!
  4. My handle is just my name (Shane) with the first syllable of my last name parked in front of it.
  5. I'm not huge into Dio, but that's the first thing I thought of after seeing your handle.
  6. Blue Bolt 106 and 108 are freakin' gorgeous books. They are near the top of my want list. Unfortunately, I'm spent out at the moment! All of these freaking rule...I'm not into Romance books, but Pop Teens 11 is enough to entice me. Beautiful stuff man.
  7. Ride the Tiger? How about.... "Ride the tiger You can see his stripes but you know he's clean Oh don't you see what I mean..." - Dio (46 seconds into the clip below)
  8. I don't like any of the groups or folks you mentioned! Can we PLEASE go back to talking about Dr. Who?
  9. Generation Zzzzzzzz. Z = zombie. PHONE ZOMBIE! Don't forget the mandatory white, Apple earbuds.
  10. Yes! From the cover of Magic Comics 15. I have a sweeet copy at the CGC right now.
  11. My first avatar change! Bout time. Magic!
  12. Is that an old Marantz receiver I see in the background? Nice. My dad had one. It slammed.
  13. Funny that I was thinking the same thing as I was scrolling down and...boom...I see your post.
  14. It sounds like contacting the guy would be good closure for you. Call him up.
  15. This IS true. If you have to ask in the first place if a decision was ethical, there is a heavy chance that it wasn't.
  16. You gave him the chance to inspect it a second time. That was the moral thing to do. I don't see the point in chasing him down to tell him he was wrong. He got it wrong twice. Not your fault. If he was comfortable with the deal after giving it more than one close look, then it's his loss. Since you already own the book, I don't see how he would be able to charge you extra for it. That being said, if it relieves your consciousness to tell him about it, then do so! If I were the dealer in question, I would simply have to learn to live with the oversight, and I'd let you go on your merry way. It's both the dealer and the customer's responsibility to be as thorough as possible. It's easy to miss things, and it happens all the time. I don't see any willful deception on your part, or the part of the dealer. Had I been in your situation, however, I probably would have mentioned something about it after checking Mycomicshop.
  17. Thanks! Really been on top of the world since pulling the trigger. Was up a few hours late because I was so excited! All of my friends here know I've been looking for a copy. I was wanting to hold out for a higher grade, but they are getting more and more expensive. Better to grab it now and think about an upgrade later. The book has taken off recently, I feel. Super pumped! It will go very nicely with my Startling 49.
  18. I think the 30s is probably ideal, actually. I would certainly rather the paper be too dry than too damp!
  19. I've said it before, but I'll say it again: I will believe this theory when I see evidence. All I've seen to date are anecdotes and speculation. That being said, there is nothing wrong with storing spine-down.
  20. Well, it's over then! I left moderns, never to return! One lesson I learned about Fiction House early on is that it's all about the colors! And trust me, the colors on that book are ridiculous. Same with the 57, which I'm currently eyeballing. Somebody better buy it soon!
  21. *sigh* Great pick-up! Those colors and minty white pages had me thinking hard.
  22. If going through additional steps and using a second website is "just as easy" then I apologize.
  23. No. The easiest way is to attach them directly to your post. Open up the "submit reply" window on the boards, just like you were going to post. There is a giant paperclip icon along the bottom that says "drag files here to attach, or choose files..." Click. Select the picture you want to upload from your computer. That simple. And ONE comic per post is the way to go. Someone tried to put 40 pics in one post the other day, and the results were as maddening as you can imagine. I hope this helps.
