  1. I was actually about to mention it in my post...then I remembered ASM300 is a Copper. It's a massively important book IMHO...but I don't think it qualifies as a Modern.
  2. Most people consider that a Copper Age book.
  3. This is a solid list of modern keys. There are NOT that many true modern keys. People often use the word "key" to describe the most ridiculous books...like most of the books listed by the OP.
  4. The Riddler and Harley are perfect examples, indeed.
  5. Stay away from paint pens my friends. Black, red, and blue markers. Fine. I've also had good luck with silver and gold.
  6. I've seen the horror show. Like Joey said, the paint was tacky and stuck to the inner well after encapsulation. Some of the action could have also occurred on the account of the facilitator, I'd imagine. Probably stacked them too quickly. This is speculation on my part, however.
  7. The same sort of dudes that would impose themselves by standing hip-to-hip with you at your urinal in a crowded, public restroom. There is always room for one more, no?
  8. Check with other reputable pressers, some of whom are on the boards. You can PM for recommendations, as the CGC frowns upon us promoting competitors. There is such a thing as "spot pressing" which would take care of the issue.
  9. There was a real problem a few years ago with paint pens. For whatever reason, they started to fade and blur within the slab. They looked TERRIBLE. 3 or 4 year old signatures that looked 100 years old. That might be the reason they recommend double-checking. Still, I'm baffled at why this would present a problem for the CCS. Anyone who presses books professionally are prepared to deal with these sort of issues. Was a real problem with a lot of McFarlane signature books. He was very fond of the paint pens at one point. Lots of facilitators and artists stopped using them. Follow this THREAD RIGHT HERE
  10. Rummaging through boxes? Pfft. Not for me. I'll take those wall books though.
  11. You may be surprised and disappointed to find out that's the exception and not the rule.
  12. There is already a thread about this topic in another forum, but I strongly feel the need to express my opinion yet again: This guy should be on his knees thanking comic fans for actually buying his garbage over the years. I can't believe that he would entertain the thought of having to charge anyone extra to "discourage" the process. Larsen freakin SUCKS.
  13. I wonder if there is already a thread about this very topic?
  14. Some people only hear what they want to hear, despite the advice given by an entire crew of people with extensive experience and expertise.
  15. Larsen had a falling out with McFarlane over the Spawn run. As an inker, McFarlane would try to "fix" Larsen's pencils...and they argued about composition and things of that nature. Larsen got huffy and butthurt and left.
