  1. Pedigree Comics’ 9.8 Amazing Spider-Man Grand Auction ends tonight, Wednesday, June 28th. The auction began on the night on Monday, June 19th and lasts for nine (9) days until the night of Wednesday, June 28th as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics website (www.PedigreeComics.com). The first lot will end beginning at 8:24 p.m. EST (2001: A Space Odyssey #8 9.6) and the last lot will end at 11:29 P.M. (X-Men #109 9.8). There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and almost every comic book listing (save for a handful) has no reserve. Every book is CGC graded and the minimum bid is only $100 for this Grand Auction. You can view and bid on all 446 high grade comics in the Auction Listing right now. Just go to the Pedigree Comics website and click on the Auction banner. Here is the absolute highlight of the auction: *NEW UNREAL CGC 9.8 SILVER & BRONZE AGE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN RUN: We recently received on consignment an incredible run of Silver and Bronze Age Amazing Spider-Man for the June Grand Auction. The run contains over 75 issues between #5 and #201 and is easily the nicest and highest certified group of Amazing Spider-Mans ever offered for sale! Almost every issue (over 65) is a CGC certified 9.8, including the earliest known 9.9 copy of an Amazing Spider-Man comic book (issue #19), which is one of the earliest Marvels ever to receive the MINT designation. Every issue that is not a 9.8 (or 9.9) is a 9.6! The consignment comes out of Illinois and the collection of Stewart DeSoto, a Spider-Man enthusiast and collector who only collected Spider-Man comic books. Here is his story: “I and my brother started collecting Amazing Spider Man (and only Spiderman!) as kids in the 1970s. We were fanatics and (carefully) read every issue as soon as it was delivered to the house. I could relate to Spiderman because of my nerdiness and interest in science. I eventually got a Ph. D. in Physics to be like Peter Parker, and currently work as a Professor of Physics. As an adult I continued to search for the highest grade Amazing Spider Man in each issue, slowly building the collection over years. I was overjoyed to obtain ASM issue #19, with an unheard of CGC grade of 9.9. It is the only copy to be given that “amazing” grade out of any of the first 72 issues. I continue to be obsessed with Peter Parker and his alter ego, Spider-Man. Whenever I take my kids trick or treating, I don my Spider-Man costume, complete with web shooters, and move spider-like through the streets of our neighborhood. I even took up the sport of rock climbing, because it is the closest thing one can experience to climbing walls just like Spidey, and I have even traveled the world looking for walls to climb. With growing obligations as a father and a husband, plus with a new house in mind, I made the very tough decision to part with these incredible books. I just hope that the collectors out there will love and treasure my Amazing Spider-Man books as much as I have. These great books deserve it!” All 75-plus issues are featured in the June Grand Auction and are offered with no reserve amount. Almost every book has white or off-white to white page quality with none less than off-white. The auction is scheduled to begin on the night of Monday, June 19th and last for ten (10) days until the night of Thursday, June 29th as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics website (www.PedigreeComics.com). The comic book listing of the auction ends on the night of Wednesday, June 28th and the original art listing ends on the night of Thursday, June 29th. There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and EVERY comic book and original art listing will have no reserve. Every book is CGC or CBCS graded and the minimum bid is only $100 for this Grand Auction. You can view the initial high grade comics and choice art pieces in the Auction Preview right now (over 200 lots). Just go to the website and click on the Auction banner. The brand new Amazing Spider-Man run contains over 75 issues between #5 and #201 and is easily the nicest and highest certified group of Amazing Spider-Mans ever offered for sale! These great books deserve it!” All 60-plus issues will be featured in the June Grand Auction and will be offered with no reserve amount. Almost every book has white or off-white to white page quality with none less than off-white. There are many great issues and iconic covers included in the run and almost every book is the highest certified copy to date. We are still accepting consignments for the June Grand Auction and will continue to do so until the night of Wednesday, June 21st. The sooner you consign your books and original artwork the more exposure they will receive. We aggressively promote and advertise each auction and send periodic newsletters to all of our over 23,000 customers announcing the auction items. We also offer generous cash advances for quality consignments so check the site for consignment instructions and get your books in now. Mr. Schmell invites you to take advantage of Pedigree’s many outstanding services. Consignors maximize their profits selling in the Grand Auction, more so than on any other auction site or auction house. We do not charge a buyers’ premium, an amount that most bidders take into consideration when bidding in other sites (the bidders simply deduct the buyers’ premium amount, usually 20% of the winning price, from their final bid, meaning less $$ to the consignor and more to the auction site). The higher the value of your book(s) and art piece(s) that sell in a Grand Auction, the more $$ you take home under Pedigree Comics’ Climbing Scale as follows: A Climbing Scale is in effect for consigned comics with a winning bid as follows: 10% Commission for any consigned item that sells up to $10,000 (Consignor’s Proceeds = $90% of the final bid price); 9% Commission for any consigned item that sells over $10,000 and up to $25,000 (Consignor’s Proceeds = $91% of the final bid price); 8% Commission for any consigned item that sells over $25,000 and up to $50,000 (Consignor’s Proceeds = $92% of the final bid price); 6% Commission for any consigned item that sells over $50,000 and up to $100,000 (Consignor’s Proceeds = $94% of the final bid price); 5% Commission for any consigned item that sells over $100,000 (Consignor’s Proceeds = $95% of the final bid price). A Climbing Scale is in effect for consigned art pieces with a winning bid as follows: 10% Commission for any consigned item that sells from $100 to $3,000 (Consignor’s Proceeds = $90% of the final bid price); 8% Commission for any consigned item that sells over $3,000 and up to $80,000 (Consignor’s Proceeds = $92% of the final bid price); 7% Commission for any consigned item that sells over $80,000 (Consignor’s Proceeds = $93% of the final bid price). We consistently set new sales records for Golden Age, Silver Age and Bronze Age comic books and original comic art in each of our bi-monthly auctions and we do not saturate the market with the same material each month. Grand Auctions are unique and exciting, with brand new CGC certified and diversified, highest quality material in each event. Why take home less $$ and settle for less by consigning with someone else? There are three easy ways to consign your books and original art to our upcoming June Grand Auction. The only criteria is that the books must be CGC graded and worth no less than $100.00. If you have high grade raw books that you want to have certified and sold in the June auction or a future Grand Auction, you can utilize our Raw To Riches Consignment Service, in which we will have your books certified under our account and will lay out all the CGC grading fees in advance for you (refer to the website and our Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide advertisement for all the details of the Raw to Riches Consignment Service). Here is how to consign: 1. Ship your books or original art directly to our offices in Wellington and Boca Raton, Florida. We will inventory, scan and upload each book or art piece into the Grand Auction listing. The items will be listed under your personal account and you will receive email notification at the conclusion of the auction with a list of every consigned book and/or art piece that sold along with the winning bid made. 2. Email the scans of the books or art you wish to consign directly to us at DougSchmell@pedigreecomics.com (books) or RandyLawrence@pedigreecomics.com (art). We will format and upload each scan onto our server and then put each book and art piece into the Grand Auction listing. Please use a .jpeg format with the resolution set at 72 and the pixel width at no more than 1200 for optimum clarity. If you do not have a scanner you can use a digital camera. 3. You can upload your own scans, item information, book or art descriptions and reserve amounts, if any, by utilizing our Automated Consignment System. Just register onto the site (www.PedigreeComics.com) and login, click the “Customer Page” tab under “Your Account” and then click “Consignments” (under the “Auctions” heading). You will then be able to enter the Pedigree Comics Consignment Management System and list your own CGC certified books and original comic art. We will receive an email once you have uploaded the scan and book/art information for each individual item into the system and we will then review the information imparted for accuracy. The item(s) will then be added to the Grand Auction listing to be bid on. You will be amazed how simple it is to use the Automated Consignment System. If you have any questions or comments about the consignment process, any of the auction lots or about the June Grand Auction in general, please contact Mr. Schmell at (561) 422-1120 (office) or (561) 596-9111 (cell) or at DougSchmell@pedigreecomics.com. Here is the absolute highlight of the auction: *9.8-9.9 CGC Certified Bronze Age Marvels From the “Professor Pecora Collection”: We just recently received on consignment an incredible group of CGC certified 9.8 and 9.9 late Silver, Bronze and Copper Age Marvels from the “Professor Pecora Collection”, which consists of some of the WORLD’S FINEST EXISTING COPIES of KEY MARVEL ISSUES, ALL IN CGC CERTIFIED 9.8 or HIGHER (almost ALL with PERFECT WHITE PAGES), that span from the late Silver Age into the Copper Age of Comics! The collection is the highlight of Pedigree’s April Grand Auction! Born and raised in Rochester, New York (and now residing in Atlanta, Georgia), Thomas “Professor” Pecora began collecting and carefully storing his comic books in protective mylars with backing boards in climate controlled conditions at the age of ten. Although he did not necessarily read all of his comics, as a former graffiti artist, he was primarily obsessed with the beautiful cover art and historical first appearances of his favorite titles such as X-Men and Amazing Spider-Man to name a few. As he entered into adulthood, his interests shifted into other areas and he wouldn’t start collecting comics until 2011. This is when he discovered the CGC and how comics were being professionally graded by a 3rd party. As is true with all natural born collectors; once a collector…one is a collector for life! Therefore, it was only a matter of time until the Professor would feel the “collector’s itch” and become inspired to start amassing and building up a CGC collection of his own. Always known to give his 100% in all that he sets his mind to, the Professor studied the CGC comic book market like the dow jones Industrial Average on Wall Street. After buying and selling CGC books on eBay and to his fellow CGC Board Members, in only about 1.5 years, the Professor assembled an impressive $50,000 plus collection! The Professor acquired his collector name due to his unique background of having endured through many challenges growing up in the city of Rochester, NY. He was once a 9th grade drop-out, but worked extremely hard to earn his GED while working 40+ hours to survive as a young man. He eventually got accepted into a four year private college and graduated with honors. He then attended NYU for grad school and eventually earned his Master of Science degree in Education from Hunter College in New York City. After earning an A+ on his Master Thesis and graduating with a 3.9 cumulative GPA, he was asked by his program director to teach a graduate level education course in mathematics curriculum and instruction. In 2010, this was the first time Thomas was actually addressed as “Professor.” Since X-Men was always one of his favorite titles coupled with his intellectual accomplishments and leadership to his family and community, it only seemed fitting that he be referred to as “Professor Pecora.” Since joining the CGC community in early 2012, the Professor has been known for his thorough and thought-provoking descriptions, write-ups and analysis of many of the key books he has acquired. He has won numerous awards for his CGC sets including the 2012 Best Presented Set Award for his former #5 CGC ranked Wolverine (1988) Set entitled “Against All Odds!” He assembled a complete CGC 9.9 WP Wolverine Limited Series Set entitled “The Inaugural Slashing,” which remained the #1 CGC Ranked Set for 2 consecutive years. In addition, the Professor assembled the world’s #2 ranked Incredible Hulk #180-#182 (Wolverine) set with all issues in CGC 9.8 WP, which included the Mile High II Pedigree copy of IH #181 and the Suscha News Pedigree copy of IH #180. However, due to personal life circumstances, which would eventually lead up to his divorce in 2016, the Professor had to unfortunately liquidate his entire collection in 2013. After working directly with Doug Schmell, owner and CEO of Pedigree Comics, Inc., the first wave of the Professor Pecora collection was auctioned in the June, 2013 Pedigree Comics Grand Auction and the second wave of his collection was auctioned in November of 2013. The Professor took a short hiatus from collecting, but would once again come back with a vengeance! Since then, Professor Pecora has amassed an incredible collection of some of the world’s BEST EXISTING LATE SILVER, BRONZE & COPPER AGE KEY COPIES all in CGC 9.8 or HIGHER! Widely known for being one of the most particular collectors throughout the CGC Registry & Boards, the Professor focuses on aesthetic qualities not normally considered by most graders and fellow collectors. For instance, the Professor looks for books that are PERFECTLY WRAPPED, CUT and CENTERED and almost always goes for pristine copies with PERFECT WHITE PAGE QUALITY! However, if a particular key book was slightly mis-wrapped, but the image was completely centered on the front cover, the Professor would make some exceptions and purchase it considering the rarity and demand of that specific issue. He would also sometimes choose an Off-White to White copy if the book had better cover alignment than the available White-Paged copies. With that said, The Professor has chosen to auction off a large portion of his world class collection in efforts to acquire some of his most cherished books that he previously liquidated. Since the Professor has acquired many of his gems from Pedigree Comics and has worked directly with Doug Schmell in previous auctions throughout the years, coupled with Pedigree’s enormous customer base of Marvel collectors, he thought Pedigree would be the best site to sell his late Silver and Bronze Age collection. Without further ado, WE ARE NOW PRESENTING the 3rd wave of the Professor Pecora Collection. Just go to the Pedigree Comics website and click on the Auction banner. Pedigree Comics proudly presents to you The Professor Pecora Collection, which consists of some of the WORLD’S FINEST EXISTING COPIES of KEY MARVEL ISSUES, ALL IN CGC CERTIFIED 9.8 or HIGHER (almost ALL with PERFECT WHITE PAGES), that span from the late Silver Age into the Copper Age of Comics! The collection is the highlight of Pedigree’s Upcoming April Grand Auction commencing on April 3rd, 2017! However, if a particular key book was slightly miswrapped, but the image was completely centered on the front cover, the Professor would make some exceptions and purchase it considering the rarity and demand of that specific issue. We are still accepting consignments for the April Grand Auction and will continue to do so until the night of Wednesday, April 5th. The sooner you consign your books and original artwork the more exposure they will receive. We aggressively promote and advertise each auction and send periodic newsletters to all of our over 22,500 customers announcing the auction items. There are three easy ways to consign your books and original art to our upcoming April Grand Auction. The only criteria is that the books must be CGC graded and worth no less than $100.00. If you have high grade raw books that you want to have certified and sold in the April auction or a future Grand Auction, you can utilize our Raw To Riches Consignment Service, in which we will have your books certified under our account and will lay out all the CGC grading fees in advance for you (refer to the website and our Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide advertisement for all the details of the Raw to Riches Consignment Service). 2. Email the scans of the books or art you wish to consign directly to us at DougSchmell@pedigreecomics.com (books) orRandyLawrence@pedigreecomics.com (art). The auction is scheduled to begin on the night of Monday, April 3rd and last for ten (10) days until the night of Thursday, April 13th as a separate event on the Pedigree Comics website (www.PedigreeComics.com). There is no Buyers Premium on any of the lots in the auction and EVERY comic book listing will have no reserve (some of the original art items will be listed with a reserve). Every book is CGC or CBCS graded and the minimum bid is only $100 for this Grand Auction. You can view the initial high grade comics and choice art pieces in the Auction Preview beginning this weekend. Just go to the Pedigree Comics website and click on the Auction banner. We just received on consignment a killer ultra high grade group (9.4 and higher) of CGC certified Silver and Bronze Age Amazing Spider-Man issues, over 30 in total. There are many great issues in the run, highlighted by a gorgeous, 9.4 copy of Amazing Spider-Man #1. Every issue (save for 2 in 9.2) is in 9.4 and higher grade. We are now accepting consignments for the April Grand Auction and will continue to do so until the night of Wednesday, April 5th. The sooner you consign your books and original artwork the more exposure they will receive. We aggressively promote and advertize each auction and send periodic newsletters to all of our over 22,500 customers announcing the auction items. Grand Auctions are unique and exciting, with brand new CGC and CBCS certified and diversified, highest quality material in each event. Why take home less $$ and settle for less by consigning with someone else? There are three easy ways to consign your books and original art to our upcoming April Grand Auction. The only criteria is that the books must be CGC or CBCS graded and worth no less than $100.00. If you have high grade raw books that you want to have certified and sold in the April auction or a future Grand Auction, you can utilize our Raw To Riches Consignment Service, in which we will have your books certified under our account and will lay out all the CGC or CBCS grading fees in advance for you (refer to the website and our Overstreet Comic Book Price Guide advertisement for all the details of the Raw to Riches Consignment Service). 9. Socratic, Never posted in the Golden Age section before. Feels different but all good at the same time. Just wanted to let you GA guys know that we have a really nice selection of GA DC's (plus a few Timelys and Quality Comics) in our upcoming Grand Auction that runs for 10 days starting on May 10th. Here's the highlights: Action Comics 17 5.5 Action Comics 23 6.5 Action Comics 28 8.0 All-American Comics 17 7.0 All-American Comics 19 4.0 All-Flash 2 9.0 All Star Comics 8 7.5 All Star Comics 11 9.2 Batman 9 8.0 Batman 17 9.0 Batman 22 8.5 Captain America Comics 2 6.5 Captain America Comics 16 5.0 Detective Comics 39 7.5 Detective Comics 58 4.5 Detective Comics 203 8.0 Plastic Man 1 8.5 Sensation Comics 1 8.5 Superman 1 3.0 Superman 4 6.0 Superman 5 7.5 Superman 8 9.0 I have never collected Golden Age but have been getting more interested since we've received GA consignments for our last few auctions. This group represents the best GA selection we have had to date so please feel free to check the out in the auction. The Superman 1 is a thing of beauty and looks like a 5.0 (was dowgraded due to the notes on the label). The back cover looks like it's from a 6.0/6.5. The auction preview is live right now at www.PedigreeComics.com. Enjoy!
  10. Thanks, Crypt. i'm on a mission to get those back from Brulato. It would have to be as part of a trade so I got me a lot of scheming to do!! It's not easy doing trades with Tom as he has most everything already in high grade.
  11. Crypt, If I wasn't such a geek, I'd be able to upload the scan myself. Thanks for putting up the FF 55. It was such a cornerstone of my collection for a while (I bought it in the late 90's) that it was a real tough decision selling it. But I thought the buyer made a VERY reasonable and more than fair offer and figured I can always get a 9.6. Hard to believe taht no 9.8's exist with 12 9.6's and a boatload of 9.4's out there. It's amazing how many great Boston FF books I used to have that I traded/sold: FF 50 9.8 (traded to Brulato), FF 52 9.8 (traded to Brulato), 66 9.8 (sold to Brulato but traded back for it) and now the 55 9.9. These bostons are killer books and practically all have white pages. Anyway, the buyer is very happy and so am I. Just one of those deals where both parties walk away with no regrets, etc. I know I'll think about not having the 9.9 for a bit but time heals all wounds, no?
  12. Danny, You are right. The 59 isn't a black cover but it is a toughie above 9.6. I have the 9.6 Oakland copy and it's as close to 9.8 as possible. The 42 is really hard above 9.6 (I have the Northland). I have the 52 Pac Coast. The 41 9.9 is either a double or triple cover. Pretty insane book. I'll email you a scan of it. Doug
  13. Danny, Thanks. I appreciate you giving me first crack at the #35. I too was shocked at what I felt was a very reasonable price for the X-Men 26 9.8. I guess he had looked at GPA which showed an average sale on a 9.6 at around $700 and change. Plus, 26 is fairly common in 9.6 and not a special issue, although I like the Roy Thomas story a lot. I now have 40 out of the 66 in 9.8 (the #41 is a 9.9). That # should be at 42 but I traded back to Brulato both the #10 9.8 Curator and #58 9.8 Curator during one of our crazy trades earlier this year. I will get them back though (hopefully). It's such a great run and not so crazy to think a 9.8 run is possible. The #4, 7 and 8 (plus 39) will be tough, however. Doug
  14. Danny, After picking up the X-Men 55 9.8 in a trade, I just bought (off my site) the X-Men 26 9.8 Hollywood Hills copy. I'm now closing in on my mission of a complete X-Men 1-66 run in 9.8 (or better (yeah right!!)). To that extent, I need your #35 9.8 right away. You have my address so please try to get it out before the Christmas rush!! Kidding aside, if anyone out there has any X-Men between 4 and 66 in 9.8 they would like to sell or trade, please let me know. I have a 9.6 of that issue in trade if you do. Happy holidays to all. More particulary, Merry X-Mas!!!! Doug
  15. Ros, That Winnipeg 104 is nicer than a 9.2. CGC deducts about a quarter grade or so for the original owner (Dennis Kjolso) penning his name in ink at the top of the cover. That's a 9.4 (at leat). I bought the early SA Winnipegs and they were severely undergraded by the CGC. I remember that 104 and its killer! Doug
  16. Ros, The 103 I got from a private collector in a big trade back in early 2004 (he actually got my 9.6 White Mountain copy and i'm still kicking myself for letting that go). I did get a book I had wanted in that trade but giving up a 9.6 ST #103 hurts (in any language, etc.). One of the "ones that got away" but I have a nice 9.4 and I'm not going to lose any more sleep over it (didn't get much for that calendar year!!). The #108 I got from a dealer a bunch of years ago, probably in 2003. Definitely the nicest copy I have ever seen. I've always loved that cover too. If my memory serves me correctly (it usually does), I got it as part of a larger deal and it was "only" a 9.4 but I could not believe how perfect it looked and I immediately resubmitted it. Sure enough, it came back a 9.6, off-white/white pages!! I had a killer PC copy that was undergraded (shown in this thread) It received a 9.2 but it's a 9.4 in my mind. That book is gorgeous!! Thanks, Ros. I have to admit that reminiscing about this stuff is as much a part of collecting for me as having the books themselves. Doug
  17. Bronty, No, I believe the PC ST run started with #101. There are a few pre-hero Pac Coasts, but only TOS's (37 9.2 and 38 9.6). I don't know of any others. Thanks for asking. If anyone knows of any others that would be great. The collection seems to start around 10-11/62 (ST 101, FF 8) and then you see full runs atarting thereafter (Incredible Hulk #5, TTA #39, JIM #89). So, I don't think there would be any pre-hero books prior to ST 101 or JIM 83, etc. Doug
  18. Paul, My pleasure. You won't have to wait long to see some of the Pac Coast Strange Tales as I'm whipping out the first box today and I'm going to email Frederic the scans later on. Hopefully he can post them sometime tonight. I haven't had the chance to look at these books in a couple of months and this gives me the chance to do that. I'm like a kid in a candy store every time I can pour through these kiler books! Nice pickups on the Bostons, Paul. I have a few Boston Strange Tales and they are all killer. That is a great collection and still somewhat underrated in my mind. I still can't figure out how and why these early Marvel gems (Strange Tales) with FF covers and appearances are still so dirt cheap in the Guide. I guess paying multiples for high grade CGC ST's doesn't make one flinch as these books are definitely worth many times the Overstreet price. Doug
  19. Paul, Just wanted you to know those beauties are on their way to you as I type these words. We all owe Frederic a lot of thanks for starting a great thread. Strange Tales are just awesome, undervalued books and this thread brings back some great memories whereby I was able to put together (from purchases, trades, late-night meetings at NJ diners, moments of insanity, etc) the entire Pacific coast run of Strange Tales (every issue from 101 to 168 plus I also had all the Doctor Strange 169-183 issues!!). The final piece was a qualified 8.0 (or 7.5 I think) issue $127 I got from Roter just to complete the run (gorgeous book but it had a piece off the back cover) When I started Pedigree, I knew I had to pare down and needed the PC doubles for inventory, but I still have about 90% of the PC's and the ones that were sold I had already replaced with a higher graded boston or Northland, etc. Being an FF fanatic, I truly love the pre-Nick Fury issues and cherish this run as much as any other I have. If Frederic doesn't mind, i'll send him scans of the PC Strange Tales (they are all mostly 9.6 and 9.8 which is mind-boggling) and some other high grade ones to list here. It will give me the chance to open my box(es) and look at these great books again. Thanks, Frederic!! Doug
  20. Steve, I agree with you. The best covers are the early Kirby ones, imho. It does seem that the late Giant-Man new costume covers start to look alike (ex: 65 & 67) as do the Hulk ones. There are many cool Ant-Man/Giant-Man covers to speak of (39, 40, 42, 45, 46, 49, hey, I love the Human Eraser) 51 (awesome cover), 53, 57, 59, 60. These are the best and there's a few more that are good (56, 58, etc.). I always liked this run, and when I got the Pacific coast copies and really looked at these books again, I realized what an awesome run it is. Definitely in my top 5 Marvel SA runs (I like TTA's better than DD's, ASM's, ST's, even possibly JIM"s!!).
  21. Surf, All this TTA talk made me whip out my 2 boxes and start feeding them onto the registry. I honestly feel TTA's are the most undervalued and underappreciated of all SA Marvels. I love these books (probably more than I love the ASM run). Great Kirby covers (all of the issues up to #70) and interior pencils as well (35-40; 44, 49 & some scattered issues above). Btw, #35 is probably the toughest Marvel to find in 9.4 or better (right up there with #27).
  22. Steve, On those TTA Northlands, I bought almost the entire run (35 & up) from Motor City in late 96' when the collection had first appeared. I couldn't help myself and bought every NM or better (plus the 35 was "only" graded VF+ and the 47 NM-) and literally had 90% of the 67 issue run. I graded all of them, then traded and sold most when Pacific coast ones became available. These Northlands were incredibly gorgeous books, and I think they're a great investment It's my pleasure adding to your already formidible TTA run. I can't wait to see the Registry listings, buddy. Doug
  23. FF 7 is extremely hard to find in 9.4 or better. That and 6 could be the 2 toughest, (after 3, which is murder to find even in 9.2, forget 9.4) followed by 18, 13 and 11. You never see these books for sale in even 9.2 or better. If it wasn't for the Pacific Coast, there wouldn't be an 18 in 9.4 or better (same goes for 28). Once (if) the Curators get slabbed, the census (and perhaps perceived rarity in grade) will surely change!!! In the 20's and over, 31 is tough, as is 34 & 37. The PC's are all 9.4s on these and there are no existing 9.6s.
