  1. Just acquired a couple of very low grade MLJs.This one is from Point Five and has the second appearance of Hangman
  2. That is the first Mr. Mind cover. The serial starts a few issues before this. I've decided that I need to get the whole Monster Society of Evil run of Captain Marvel, as I can't see to find the reprint book anywhere cheap. Sadly, that is correct. The Archives seem to stop right before. Best you can do is find readers which seem to be in abundance, just a lot of money to throw around even in VG(isn't it like 20 issues and about $30/ea? ouch) Yeah, about, though you can usually find deals on Captain Marvel if you look around and I am not in any kind of a hurry. I still have some John Stanley and Walt Kelly stuff to hunt down as well. I enjoy this era of Captain Marvel quite a bit and so I think Monster Society of Evil run is a nice target. I should have just bought the darn Monster Society of Evil hardcover when it first came up, but the $100+ price tag scared me off and I thought I could get it cheaper later I think Bud Plant had it on sale for 60 bucks or less at some point in the 90s -- that's when I picked up my copy. Me, too Hey Bob--wanna trade for it?
  3. You can never have too many covers in a single post
  4. Just got this one in the mail An unusual cover theme for Archie.
  5. Thanks to Point Five for the superfast shipping (and bargain price )of my Pep 18. The downside is now he's got me on the slippery slope to collecting the Pep 1-21 run
  6. If you have the rest of the Life with Archie superhero covers scanned, please post them. They're pretty cool
  7. It really depends. Issues 22-50 are always hotly contested. After that, it's kinda hit or miss. There were 5 bidders on the #66.
  8. This one I got off of ebay from a seller that said she didn't "know how to grade comics." That always worries me, but in this case I got a very nice, very solid book:
  9. Just got 2 of the last 9 Peps I need. Both have very similar covers
  10. Got a couple of nice slabs from LucyBop (now Lucille)
  11. And the best part was it was mis-listed as "Tip Notch" so there were virtually no bidders
  12. That cover's great! The next 2 books were brought to me by one of my employees. Her mother was cleaning out her house and came across a small group of books from the late '50s and early '60s. Pretty cool
  13. Just upgraded my Pep 41 (second Archie cover)
  14. Here's a true Canadian Archie title
  15. Top Notch Laugh 31. It's low grade, but knowing Black Hand's difficulty finding a copy, I thought I should latch onto it
