  1. Fred was a pleasure to deal with. Made a fair offer on a couple of Silver age books I was selling and was quick to pay. Great communication throughout. I would definitely deal with him again in the future.

  2. Time for some advice. An opportunity has come up for me to pick up something I have been long after and I need to sell one of these but I can't seem to make up my mind. The old label has better centering but the new label has white pages and brighter colors in person. Daredevil's outfit seems more red as opposed to orange. I was hoping to eventually upgrade to an 8.0-8.5.

Any advice appreciated at to which one you would keep.

  3. Does anyone have any news regarding the cartoon/ movie? Is this still in oroduction?

Reason I ask is that I have a couple of 9.8 #1's and original art I've been holding onto, but due to lack of funds I might be selling. Should I hold off for the time being?

  4. I've just updated my want list to keep a tighter focus on the collection, but I think the next step is going to be finding a nice #1, hopefully in the 5.0-5.5 range. Thanks again guys for all your input. Hopefully I'll be posting in here more often with some additions.

  5. Hey guys, thanks so much for chiming in. I think I'm going to try and slowly build up the collection through auction sites and hopefully through the boards here. I usually go all in and buy everything in site leading to short term satisfaction and in the process, overpaying for certain books. For now, I think I will go for 1-10, a few of the classic covers like 16, 18, 30 and 43 as well as some of the broke age keys. I keep missing on the low grade 1's offered on the boards and was outbid on an 8.0 # 7 yesterday. Is the general consensus to pick up the major books first like and #1 and slowly go from there?

  6. The Daredevil show and my twins love of all things superheroes has given me the collecting bug after a two year hiatus. Having kids has certainly put a damper in unnecessary spending, but I was considering slowly putting together a nice little Daredevil collection. Mostly keys and some nice classic covers. Am I coming in at the wrong time? It seems the prices of everything has skyrocketed since I was on here a few years ago. Has the Daredevil hype peaked or do you think I will be paying more in the not so distant future? I am starting in at ground zero and have put a small wanted list together but so far have had no luck. I did manage to pick up a nice number 2 last week from a fellow board member to kick things off. Any advice or opinions are welcome.

  7. Thanks everyone! Definitely glad they made it safe, since they came a month early, but both are doing good.

the children are the real treasure. mazel tov!!

*is that the original art from the 2013 sketchbook?

Yes it is. I jumped on it the second Rob mentioned the sketches were available.

  8. Just a couple new additions that I thought I would share with my fellow Chew enthusiasts.

... and what more could I ask for than my very own Tony and Toni (real names Zoë and Gregoris). They came into my life early Tuesday morning!

  9. I don't have GPA, but they are usually around $350 from what I've seen. I watch and check for them pretty often. In all honesty, I think last year alone I only saw about 5 or 6 graded copies between here and ebay. It isn't a high demand book, but it is very hard to find because people that have it hang on to it.

    Cool. Thanks for the info.

  10. I picked up the first 8 Ultimate Collections on a whim. After half way through the first book, I thought I had wasted my money, but I stuck with it to see what all of the praise was about. I'm so glad I did as I read the whole series in a week and a half. I just read the latest trade paperback along with the last two issues to be fully caught up. This along with Chew, Saga and Six Gun Gorilla are the reason I got back into comics.
