  1. I received my book from SDCC from Toast yesterday. This was my first time doing business with him, and I will definitely do so again. Highly recommended!
  2. Because it's Snyder, I will definitely pick this one up.
  3. This book was my "Holy Grail" for a long time, and I finally purchased a raw copy at a local show last weekend. I am pleased with it. I don't know anything about grading, so I was looking for some feedback in this thread: http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=7279129#Post7279129 In any event, I followed the old adage from these boards regarding "buy the book, not the grade," so I'm happy either way. I was just looking for some insight regarding what to expect before I make my first submission to CGC.
  4. I'm right there with you. I'm catching it again at 11. Wow...the last 20 minutes of this episode! I don't think I've ever seen a more compelling twenty minutes of television.
  5. That's awesome. I wonder how much higher it will go in the next 10 hours...
  6. Awesome stuff, TBP. I can admit that I am feeling a little bit envious right about now!!
  7. That's good to know. Thanks for telling me. So not only do I have to make sure I'm first in line at the store, but I've also got to be willing to pay whatever the retailer decides to charge for the midnight release variant. I might be sitting this one out, then.
  8. Thank you. I guess I will be hitting Dre up for both of them. NYCC is this coming weekend, correct? As for the midnight black and white variant, there is only one shop in my city participating, and it isn't my regular LCS. I'm not thrilled about being up that late on a work night, though, but I just may have to.
  9. Thanks for the insight. So basically, I should only expect to pay $2.99 each at my LCS for covers A-K and then whatever premium they charge for cover L? Then I'll pick up the colored #1 issue from my LCS and I'll check Beachbum's sales thread for the NYCC cover. The midnight B&W variant, I'm assuming, is only for participating stores in the midnight launch of the book? And I'm not aware of the black and white #1 issue variant. Where and when is that being released?
  10. I'm sure that this may have been covered earlier in this thread or somewhere else on the boards. I tried a search, and didn't have much luck. If this has been covered elsewhere, please send me in the right direction. I was hoping that somebody could give me a breakdown regarding the variant issues for issue #115 coming out next Wednesday. I was curious as to whether any of these variant issues are limited (i.e. 1:10, 1:25, etc.), or whether they're even considered variants at all. Are they just 11 connecting regular covers plus the blank variant? Thanks in advance to anybody who can provide some insight on this.
  11. Of course, I just went back one page and found the website that I was looking for. Sorry, guys.
  12. Pardon me if this has been covered already, as I have not read this entire thread. But, is there a website online that would tell me a complete listing of comics that came out in March 1990 (my birth month)? In addition, I can't immediately tell if this thread is based on books that actually released in your birth month or books with the cover date for your birth month. I know comics, like magazines, come out in one month, but usually have a month that is two months out listed on the front cover. I'm assuming it has always been this way, but I could be wrong. Anybody who can clear this up for me will be greatly appreciated.
  13. What am I late to? I'm not new to comics. I've been collecting for 2.5 years. I'm just new to the speculating and collecting aspect. I thought it would be fun. We shall see how it goes.
