  1. it's all about the print run with these books - Saga 37,000, PP 4,500 Don't worry my friend. Saga is much better and will win in the end. (thumbs u +1 Its all about longevity here. I'm not hating on PP but I don't see PP being more than 30 issues.
  2. I thought I'll share my Saga predictions for 2013. April 2013 - Saga gets a nice bump in value as Eisner nominations are released. Saga gets nominated for best series and best single issue. BKV gets nominated for best writer and Staples gets nominated for best artist. May - June 2013 - Saga sees a dip in value as it goes in hiatus. July 2013 - Saga value skyrockets as the next trade and a new issue hit the shelves and Saga cleans house at the Eisner. Aug - Nov 2013 - Saga value stays flat as new issues are released and we're all blown away how amazingly good this book is. Dec 2013 - At the end of its 3rd story arc (issue #18), a major character gets killed off. Saga value goes up again as everyone in the comic community goes crazy over the death.
  3. The interesting thing about Saga's success versus other comics is the number of females reading this book. At NYCC last year, I noticed quite a few females waiting on line with their TPB. BKV & Staples have done a masterful job in creating an awesome book that appeals to everyone.
  4. I remember in an interview or article last year that Fiona said she preferred drawing digitally because it allowed her to keep up with the rigorous deadlines. She does everything from the penciling to the coloring. If she were to draw her stuff manually, Saga may be looking at a bi-monthly release... that's not cool for us fans.
  5. I've just read the first 2 issues of Hellboy in Hell. I'm loving this book so far. Does anyone know if this is an ongoing series? Mignola's art rocks!!!!
  6. Saga definitely takes a few issues to read and reread to really appreciate it. I highly recommend getting the trade paperback. Personally, I am hoping for a hardcover deluxe version of Saga to come out which think BKV says he will do in one of the interviews last year. A Saga HC deluxe book will look great next to the YTLM HC deluxe book.
  7. . Comic-con is another thing on my list to tell my fiance.
  8. hah, prepare to have them shoved in the garage or a shed.....they'll mess up the decor of the house. Can't. That's where my toys are at.
  9. I'm getting married in a few months and I still haven't told my fiance about my comic book collections.
  10. Saga #1 raw near $100 is insane. Does anyone know what Chew #1 raw was at after 9 issues?
  11. Completion purposes. I don't know why anyone would want completeness with Saga. The 2nd prints are essentially the same covers.
  12. That's lame. Its still a signature from Vaughan. CGC is in the biz to grade comics, not signatures. Perhaps that's how he likes to sign his comics? Smearing his name all over the book.
  13. Is the 9.4 from the signature smear or something else?
  14. Depends on how much but I would most likely walk.
