Just saying the words gives me instant migraine.

Isn't Google drive just fine for large files ?

There's also a Gottfredson Mickey volume in that series.
Ohhh,a Mickey one too ?
So you fellas are saying that the printing is very nice on that series ?
Is the Don Rosa stuff better ?
Is the 25 bucks a good price ?
there were 6 volumes in the best comics abbeville set: donald duck, mickey mouse, goofy, uncle scrooge, silly symphonies and donald duck and his nephews.
one thing you should be aware of is the mangling of bark's intended layout system where every page should end with so-called "cliffhanger" panels. panels were resized, cut or omitted to fit into the format of the book. the worst example is the punchline ending in "lost in the andes" story, which barks was so proud of, was completely cut out.
more info here.
Great.More info.
Thanks.

Terrific book, great colour and stories, although the binding, uh, "could be better" - by that I mean be a little careful in handling the book.
There is a companion Uncle Scrooge tome that is also fantastic.
Thanks for the 101.
Can"t wait to read it.
I'll post a few pics when i get it.

On Saturday,i'm buying a first print 1978 Barks Donald Duck .

Ok so that Frazetta goodness Creepy 1 i guess is what's inside right ?
Since the cover is by Jack Davis.
Remember there are no dumb questions.

You know, in the french newpapers here in Quebec.
We still gets comic strips of Blondie. In french.
That's some legacy.

In and now out - on its way to CGC!!
That is pretty. Good luck on the sub. What grade do you think it is?
Maybe 8.5 - 9.0
Keep us informed. I hope it goes well. I have always loved this cover, my LCS had a copy when I was a kid and the store owner let me flip through it.
Will do.
Suh-weet book.

Noooo Marilyn watch out !
That Widmark creep is gonna push you down the stairs !
Sorry,Kiss of death scene flashback there.
Actually, it's just the reverse here. That publicity still is probably from "Don't Bother to Knock". Widmark gets involved at a hotel with Marilyn... who turns out to be a dangerous psychotic babysitter. It's Widmark that needs to look out in this '50s variation on "Fatal Attraction"!
Thanks.
Push her down the stairs Richard !
Push her down the staaaaiiiirrsss !
See ? Same old Richard, different justification.

thanks pons.
here's the rest of the fledgling run:
ohio copy.
jacquet copy.
Sweet run so far
Those are great!
I'm just lovin' the green on that number 6 !
But the title font on Number 9 belongs to a robot future city kinda comic.

looks like NAZ's to me
I agree. Probably a typo. Man, someone at Timely is going to lose their job over this.
Could he still be alive ?
Let's track him down and ask him.
Montrealfilmguy :Hey you know that cover you did 180 years ago..
Next Mtl convention,i'll see if Harley has a copy.Or Dale Roberts.

A noob's gotta ask.
On the cover..what's a NAI ?
Am i reading that right ?
A misspelling of Nazi???
I don't know, first the word Nazi must've been used quite extensively everywhere during that era so how can you miss that ?
And second,it looks like there's an apostrophe next to the I,like Nai's.
It looks to me like an acronym.
Maybe the letterer was drunk on leftover expired eggnog, who knows.

what a 7.0 copy to have! That looks fresh!Just got this back a little while ago
Thanks!! It's a Chicago copy and it would grade much higher if not for a 1" tear in the "R" in Marvel. It was that way when I bought it at a little comic show in the mid 90's. I enjoyed it raw for 10 years before selling it. I got it back about 6 months ago in it's slabbed state. I may be busting it out
A noob's gotta ask.

Sorry for the cross post, but these belong here. And I'm pretty excited to have them
That signature in the middle of the Donald Pirate gold cover, now i may be wrong here but it appears that those words are Jackie and the french word for Scrooge which is Picsou or coin pincher if you will.
I read 'Picron'.
Awww.you're drunk on comics again.

Looks like the week is getting off to a great start! Post Office was holding these for me this morning.
Here's a little weirdness to get things started
Things are getting hot now!
And at the end it's out of this world!!
Holy smokes! Congrats David
Hey that Futuro guy looks kinda cool.

Well all it takes is two to drive a sale, but not necessarily a market. I don't expect Overstreet to revise their numbers anytime soon!
The only credited Marilyn comic book cover that I know of. That Sweethearts run also has a credited Elizabeth Taylor cover.
Noooo Marilyn watch out !

Whao number 12 has an interview with Rod Serling !

I finally got my FanExpo book back from CGC and it was graded higher than expected. Unfortunately I need to send it out to them to be reholdered because they did a job of slabbing it. Hopefully, since the post is broken they don't have to regrade it and can just be reholdered.
Signed by: Lee, Slott and Cambell and Cambell sketch on the back:
I also received an incomplete Superman 1 that I plan on slabbing:
That advice about acquiring super strength is probably how Wertham got started about comics being bad for kids.

Funny.
I post a story about a place called Black cat,and right after,Hepcat posts a cover with the words Black cat on it.
Tomorrow,i'm gonna take a look at that number 47 at that place i saw.
Nice covers,keep 'em coming.

Same here.
One little depanneur run by one little very old lady.
And her 17 cats. The place was literally called Black cat.
It was funny to me how she had decided that among the 30 or 40 magazines for women, she thought of the kids and had one monster magazine and 1 Starlog.
Her being old,the 17 cats, and monster magazine always made my imagination dream up she was a 500 year-old witch keeping a low profile.
But a nice old witch.
And i always thought she would sometimes let a slip go by and tell me of missed opportunities with Nosferatu or something when i bought the magazine to pay for it.
She never did.
Thanks Mrs Black cat for setting me on that road of monsters and space travel.
