  1. The third eye variant sure was painless to buy.. One click, goes to PayPal. Didn't have to set up an account with third eye which was nice. Now let's hope they ship these out packed up nicely.

    +1

  2. You are in there too? That's pretty funny. I'm pretty sure I wrote in because someone posted on here that they were giving away something for asking a question. I can't remember exactly.

Either way, if anyone would like to send me their copy, i'd be happy to arrange a signing event and get a facilitator to witness if they'd like a HugeRosen CGC SS Revival #3.

EDIT: Yes, first published work. Makes it even more valuable for SS opportunity. :baiting:

EDIT 2: Acutally, thinking back, I have been featured on espn.com and si.com asking questions about fantasy football and stuff of that nature, but first printed work.

Looking forward to second print variant HR/krighton cover

  3. Not going to lie but I'm pretty proud of this picture. I abandoned all collecting of Golden Age and Silver Age to focus exclusively on everything WD this past April. I've put way to many miles on my car, searching and chasing, I've spent way to many late nights looking at EBay, memorizing GPA and the like. I have bought, and sold and traded more in these last five months than my entire lifetime combined but I have enjoyed every last second of it. Collecting WD has been the most self satisfying thing I have collected since I was in my teens. I hope this feeling last for a long time to come. :wishluck:

I knew I needed a Moore piece to give my collection proper representation and was so fine with it being this beauty...

But when I saw that somehow, someway this piece was available, I just knew I had to get to it before the Nowell Bros did :screwy:

Meeting Tony and Kara This past weekend was a thrill. They were down to earth, humble, nice people that were most generous and genuinely appeared to care. Now where's JJ, we need to discuss that 19 cover.

I don't see my issue 35 error in there anywhere... hm

  4. @itsjustryan - I kept looking to see how your 9.9 was doing on ebay and couldnt find it. Then i switched over to .com and found it (I am Canadian, was on .ca) and see that you are only shipping to the US. To me that is just nuts, anyone selling in North America and doing US only and excluding Canada is just slicing a huge chunk(millions) of possible bidders out of the auction.

Canada has the highest internet usage/e-commerce purchases per capita in the WORLD, our dollar is currently worth more than the USD, (so buying USD stuff is a bargain right now), AND the USPS has all the same flat-rate services you (and everyone else) use to ship to the US, servicing Canada.

Millions of potential bidders, available with the same shipping service you already have in the auction, completely blocked from even seeing it? that's craaaazy.

Sorry, but I won't ship to Canada ever again (at least until I sell enough items on eBay to where I get the funds in my account instantly).

I had to ship something to a Canadian buyer (reluctantly I might add, because he kept nagging me to sell it to him even though I specified only shipping to US), and of course, since there was no tracking information once it leaves the US, I ended up not getting my funds for almost 30 days cause it used the default "estimated time of arrival + 3 days", which came to just under 30 days.

I really needed that money too at the time, so I was furious I had to wait so long.

So yes, Canada may just be North America's hat, super close, and cutting off "millions" of potential bidders, but that still doesn't negate the fact that it takes way too long to get your money from the sale.

+1 until I build up enough transactions

  5. I'm glad we are back on topic guys.

I found these behind an old dumpster and was wondering if they are any good?

Probably not. Sorry, man. But I can give you "a dolla' and some envelopes". ;)

18,000 print run, triple 9.9s from one presser....9.8s already stalling and falling on ebay. Only variants pushing up, no movie/tv rumors to give it legs. I think this one has danger written all over it.

For the vast majority of books, the defect(s) that keep them at 9.8 can't be pressed out - it's ridiculous to assume that these are 9.9s due to pressing.

    Then you've never seen Ryan's patented Magi-Press

  6. Which one is being referred to as the SDCC one? I've heard people refer to the Third Eye Variant and the CBLDF as a SDCC.

Third Eye is a Con variant from the Northeast.

CBLDF was a Fundraiser at SDCC

Both issues were also sold/given out at SDCC, hence the confusion.

  7. got my 2 $50 black and white #1's today from mile high comics.. top notch and perfect condition :)

Glad to hear it. I ordered one myself. Hope it's tight like yours.

Got mine. Really nice copy! Shipped great.
