  1. I don't have a whole lot of fanzines in my collection, but, here is something I picked up for $1 on FCBD this past Saturday. It is Fandoms Special #1 from 1965. What is really cool is by the images is states, "Traced by Bruce Cardazo". It covers write-ups of AF15, ASM 1 - 23, and ASM Annual 1. It was kinda cool reading about the culture at that time. Stating that ASM1 was floating around everywhere you went and how he had two of them. Does anyone know anything about this fanzine? I haven't really found any info online. <a href=IMG_7166_zpscamitpax.jpg' alt='IMG_7166_

  2. Brent is a great seller. Great communication. Books as described. And, most importantly in this transaction with him, a superb packager!!! I bought three books from him. And, due to some circumstances on my end concerning my moving, the package went to the wrong address, and bounced back and forth to Tampa for over a month before I finally got the books. And, the packaging held up nicely. The books in terrific shape! Thanks again Brent!!!

  3. Bought four books from Randall last week.

  5. Had a small score last night. Went to a local peddlers mall where I never find any good books. In one of the galas cases were 3 ziplock bags. Two of the bags had Spider-Woman books.. 5 for $10. Pass! The other ziplock had "5 comic books from 1960s for $5". I took a peek inside to find Conan #1. Sold! Not a fantastic copy but a nice VG copy. Definitely made the trip worthwhile.

  7. Posted this in the Bronze forum yesterday, but, thought I might share here as well I had a pretty good week this week on a trade. A guy listed on Craigslist that he wanted to trade a bunch of comics for a Nintendo DSi. So, I took my daughter's hot pink DSi and 4 games and traded it to him for all of the following comics. Most of these are in the VF-NM range. Apparently, his uncle gave them to him a few years ago and he never did anything with them. BTW, I did get my daughter's approval to trade away her DSi. And, the guy was happy and I am happy with the trade.

  9. Just flipping thru some comics I bought yesterday at HPB. One was Air Raiders #1 by Star Comics. I know Star Comics was Marvel's line aimed at kids in the 1980s. Pulled it out of the 25cent bin. I think I'm going to start grabbing these when I see them for $1 or less in nice condition.

    My questions:

    How common are these?

How common are they in higher grades?

    Does anyone collect them?

    Thanks

  10. Bought a Marvel Premiere #47 from Andrew at the last VCC for a great price. I had been looking for a nice copy for a while and finally found one. Great communication and superb packaging. The item was just as described. Thanks Andrew and I look forward to buying from you again!

  11. Bought a couple of books from Robert in the last VCC. And, can I say, I got a great deal on a couple of books I have wanted for a while. Robert was extremely friendly. He had great communication. Let me know when he was going to ship. Let me know once he sent out the items. When I received the books, they were superbly packed! Plenty of cushion, stability, and protection. And, best of all, the books were just as he described...maybe even a little better! Love the books and hope to buy from you again Robert!

  12. Just had some great luck with a long box of odds and ends. Some great Whitman's - including one of the elusive WRC&S that has been annoying me by being HTF.

Love the super-hero scans above. Those are wonderful books.

Out of curiosity, what does WRC&S stand for? Or, is the R supposed to be a D? In which case, nevermind.

  13. Does anyone have any information on Marvel All-Colour Comics? The info I find on the web is kind of sketchy. And, searching the forum archive, I can't find anything. If anyone has a link to a previous thread, that would be much appreciated. I was hoping my research would go a little better and maybe provide a list of all the Marvel All-Colour Comics titles. I did search the St. Louis Variant Mafia site, and couldn't really find anything either.

Anyway, the reason I ask is I found a Nova #8 (12p) at Half Price Books today. And, since it was 20% off today, thought I'd just go ahead and buy it and do some research later.

    Thanks in advance.
