  1. Viper - Welcome to the conversation. What you are talking about may be 100% accurate. I think the resistance comes from you being someone that has no established reputation here and coming in and talking about comic flipping on a large scale, which is a taboo subject, even though everyone does it. If you read through the threads you will see a distaste for the larger scale speculation you are describing. I have no problem with what you are doing at all (more power), but many here are also big fans of artists, writers, and content of the books you seem to be reducing to commodities. This talk just rub some the wrong way. Be well in your Oceanside manor. Ryan
  2. As with everything.... Start small. (Thumbs u
  3. Example of a noob moment: I paid $224 for a Silver Surfer #1 I thought was a 6.0, but really was a 5.0. It happens, I'm over it. Next please!
  4. $$$$$ is subjective to the buyer /seller. $89 is not a ton of $ to drop on a book (in my eyes), but you may not feel comfortable dropping that on 1 book. Do what you feel comfortable doing, but I will say that we all have noob moments and yes I have them quite often But it's a fun learning experience. Just don't go broke in the process.
  5. I'm in discussions with a guy (not a member here that I know of), and he wants $89.99 for the Bedlam #1 sketch. I didn't know if that was a good deal or not It's up to you, but if it is NM+ or better that is a good/great price. Condition is everything and a little bit of spine stress, a few corner bumps can make a big difference in grade.
  6. Good advice (had an opportunity to buy 3 SAGA #1 @ $30 each no more than six weeks ago). Hesitated. Today, tripled.
  7. I would like to see a pic to help you judge how bad that corner ding is. May just be an exaggerated bindary tear.
  8. Sell them as nm- to nm (if that is accurate). Someone will still have an interest in putting together raw sets...
  9. I would open a WTB thread and offer $125 for a NM + raw if I was on the market.
  10. I'm on the H20 tonight. It is 1:30 east coast style....

  14. Raw = $150 + Graded 9.8 = $200 + LINK
  15. That's because BEDLAM is AWESOME. I'm going to re-read 1-3 this weekend.
  16. Probably both. I consider it a variant and I think CGC will call it "Phantom Variant" on the slab.
