  1. Sorry I missed you. I'm sure I added myself to this but I'm not on there?

  3. Count me in. Adam I wanna play too. Forget I said anything about adding yourself in, I'll do it. I'll be in too
  4. Got a near complete Walking Dead collection I'm going to shift, would post on the modern boards for advice, but I'd probably just get abuse so I thought I'd ask my British chums I wasn't really paying attention to prices while season 2 was airing in the USA, but with it on Channel 5 here, is now a good time to sell up, or would I be better hanging on to them until October? Notice early issues are still fetching a fair rate, but I have no idea what issues 2-10 (I don't have 1) were going for when the Americans were saying the market was going crazy. Would obviously like to get the most I could for them so if waiting is the better option then it's no real drama. Any help would be appreciated. Going to use the funds to complete my Chew collection.
  5. Glad you enjoyed our wonderful County. RE: LAck of books, you should try living here...nearest LCS is Plymouth
  6. Can you get a moderator involved to see if he can solicit a response?
  7. I shipped something to the USA once via surface mail and it took 3 months to get there. Just bought something from the States and it got in 2 days. Think they key thing here is the lack of info from the seller. You hope and pray that everyone selling on forums is legit and just trying to stop lining Feebay's pockets. Can anyone vouch for him? Hope it turns out ok though....bad experiences are enough to put you off for life.
  8. Whizzer uses LEC so you could PM him for info. The guy who runs it was my LCS owner for several years and he's a very nice guy. Nothing bad to say about him. Sounds good to me. I was impressed by the range of books they had that I'd drawn a blank with in other places.
  9. I've used DH a few times and have had no complaints. They generally have good stocks when other outlets are sold out. Just put an order in with Limited Edition Comix, anyone used them before?
  10. Does anyone have a comprehensive list of the UK on-line comic shops? Google is a nightmare as some that I know of like Wolf Comics just don't show up, which leads me to believe that heaps that I'm unaware of will also not be showing up. Thanks
  11. Think the writing was on the wall for KD, 8th is not good enough for Liverpool in any season, but considering the massive amount of money they spent on pretty rubbish players (Cheers for the 20 million for DJ Downing) Personally I think it's hilarious what happened to them this year, after all being a Villa fan you take comfort in anythign else to erase the misery of our own season. Just hope Liverpool don't poach one of our managerial targets....they should go for a manager with true international pedigree like Mick McCarthy
  12. [laugh] Explains the nosebleeds. In other news I was informed today by my LCS (50 Miles away in Plymouth) that they are opening a store in Cornwall so I'll have less of a trip soon. That and Villa staying up has made my day When and where? I'm off to Cornwall for a week at the end of the month. St Austell, not sure it'll be open by the end of the month though. Their other store is Plymouth so not a million miles away from Cornwall.
  13. [laugh] Explains the nosebleeds. In other news I was informed today by my LCS (50 Miles away in Plymouth) that they are opening a store in Cornwall so I'll have less of a trip soon. That and Villa staying up has made my day They should sack McLeish first thing in the morning. They should, but when has our board ever done anything they should have done? Everyone sees this chairman as our saviour, but aside from renovating the Holte Pub and massively improving Bodymoor Heath we are is a much worse position than when Deadly Doug was at the helm. He should have kept our best players rather than sell them off like a sale at Primark, he should never have appointed AM in the first place. Unfortunately, the longer Randy Lerner is our owner the worse off we'll be, as he has no-one at the club in the key decision making areas that knows anything about football. It's not just us, the feelings of the Villa fans are matched Stateside by the Cleveland Browns....who Randy also owns. If he can't do the job he owes it to our once great football club to sell up to someone who can. Rant over....

  15. Hello fellow Villa fan I still remember that game. Didn't think that things could get any worse than that. Until this season. AM Makes DOL look like the messiah! Dark days brother dark days indeed.
  16. True, he'd be working in Maccy D's as a cleaner along with most professional footballers of this day and age if wasn't any good at the beautiful game.
  17. Think Rooney's would be hard to argue against. It's everything you'd want in a goal, and especially scoring like that against your bitter rivals with the added pressure of a derby match. What is really impressive is how quickly he readjusts for the strike he was running the other way and checked back so quickly. Would love it if Villa scored a goal let alone one like that
  18. Don't know how to embed it directly but it's a shocker
  19. Goalkeeper easy one. Being a Villa fan it has to be Peter Enkleman against the Bluenoses when he let Mellberg's throw sneak under his foot. Still to this day don't think it touched him but his expression says it all.
  20. Always liked the Tony Yeboah goals for Leeds, technique and power both were absolute belters. [banana]
  21. Wasn't the Sinclair goal for QPR in the FA Cup?
  22. My copies of 1 and 2 have just dropped through the mailbox. Looking forward to giving them a read today at some point.
  23. Still waiting for my #1 & #2 to come through the post, really looking forward to reading this title. Think I might try and get a digital copy of #2 if there is an issue with fingerprints leaving a mark so thanks for the heads up. The books seem pretty hot in the UK at the moment, not sure if it'll last or is just the #1 1st print furore.
