Yeah I'm definitely not selling them for as little as $1,200. I dont expect this to have the same success as Walking Dead, in honesty I'm not sure anything ever will again. However, we have the perfect recipe for huge returns down the line. We've got a book that has a miniscule 7,000 print run. Additionally, it's been several months since the release with a huge dip in the value of the book. That means a lot of speculators dumped their collection and/or as I read on here, literally threw them away. When you factor in the low print run with the failed speculators and then couple that with the 75% of people that read and damaged or even read and discarded the book, I project we have somewhere between 1,000-1,500 pristine copies remaining. The fan base is going to continue to grow and as soon as the release of the show, explode. My money is on saving the bulk of the collection until the show comes out and cross my fingers for it to be successful. I dont think Walking Dead numbers are realistic but we could easily see 25% of that book cover value in the next 12 months pending the release date of the show. Stay tuned for the ride and hold on tight!
Just my recommendation for a wholesale bulk price, but if you can get $2000, more power
There's plenty of things I disagree with on this long post but not going to beat up on a newb too much. Here's my advice: I was offered $700 each for my 3 Sixth Gun #1 9.8's when i first got them.

I am curious as to what most of you think an average Image run of 7,000 is in the hands of speculators as opposed to readers/collectors?
25%

Totally agree. Don't know if HI will be doing that or not.

Don't forget, this is a charity auction. Income tax write-off opportunity. I've seen plenty of folks spend massive amounts on silly/fun items at charity auctions.
We've discussed the tax writeoff ability of these before. In for a major IRS headache if you think you are going to deduct these.

$12000???????????????

So I'm assuming every artist got 2 copies then? This should be interesting.

Next round of Heroes today. Plus the slightly shady relisted one. Adlard ends over 3k?

Happy to see this get more recognition. You know you've joined the elite status of comics when the ebay listings start getting keyword spammed.
I didn't buy into multiples, happy with my 1 full set. Congrats to the Todd team!

Did I miss the big news?

I think Maggie will die. She's been on like 2 pages since Glenn died.

I hear the 11 year anniversary will be shipping with 50 different covers, which can be connected in a puzzle format, to form a giant middle finger to the collectors.

I've thought about this as well since the Season 2 zombie head one sells for crazy premium now but I'm thinking more of these will be made than the season 2 one.

Issue 8 pushed back another 3 weeks. WTF Image? Get yer sheeit together
Delays are complete momentum killers. Not what this book needed after a new arc and new artist.

I really don't want to spend the $ on the revival #12 image expo variant but it's also going to be hard to wait till July 17th till regular #12 comes out.

The portland one is likely going to have the smallest run because honestly, who goes to Portland? And I'd guess that's at least 5K.
The larger cons I'd guess are easily over 10K.

Getting close Rosen..... I just broke down and bought a raw #2
Closer to completion... further from the house... closer to sleeping on the couch.

I wasn't referring to your collecting skills. If you think my posts are trolling or mean spirited, I suggest you stay away from posting in comics general,
