  1. I would say prices were all over the map. Classic covers seemed to kill it but books like Batman 11 seemed to go a little cheap. Of course anything I was watching went on the high side and therefore not into my collection.
  2. I am not doing the earlier kits right now and doubt I will. Have thought about the sports sets but haven’t made any move yet and likely wont. I don’t really like the later kits that were remakes either. For the crazy expensive kits like Godzilla and King Kong cars, I don’t have them and seriously doubt I ever will. The Gigantic Frankenstein kit I got below what I expected to pay. The Lost in Space big kit probably paid current price. For the robot, got a big bargain on it. The recent opened but with the cellophane Godzilla Go Kart went for the price of a new car. I have one Weird-Ohs kit and keep my eyes open for others (love the card sets). There are a few other kits I am watching for that aren’t Auroras. I am looking forward to being able to display all of them plus some toys in a few years.
  3. Not I didn't see it. For the bigger kits, the boxes always get smashed some because the shrink wrap keeps shrinking
  4. I see unsealed kits for the Wooly Mammoth some times but not a sealed one
  5. Group shot of all my Prehistoric Scenes collection (minus dupes). I split them out by Dinosaurs and Mammals
  6. Jungle Swamp comes up pretty often. The one you don't see is the Wooly Mammoth
  7. Two dinosaur kits left to go ! One comes up fairly often and one very rarely
  8. Completed my Forgotten Prisoner set, 98, 100, and Frightening Lightning
  9. Hakes winnings are in the house Quite a few packages to open
  10. I learned to make furniture from my dad, he made customer furniture for about 30 years. This will be made from 3/4 inch birch plywood, filled, sanded, then spray painted white.
  11. I am still refining the plans but this is sort of what my shelving unit will look like. I sill need to add the side pieces that will finish covering the wall.
  12. They are displayed in a hodge podged way. Some in one room, some in another, lots you can't see. Current state of the collection, 104 kits and counting.
  13. My office is 330sqft and I will have a 20ft x 9ft shelf system on one wall to fill so storage isn't going to be an issue for quite a while.
  14. My guess is the grader was drunk from drinking fermented pickle juice while incapsulating it
  15. I have a loose Dr Evil and Captain Action I bought for $15 each at a comic book store. Captain Action has all the accessories but the Dr Evil only has his clothes
  16. I bet I still have a few of the scans I got in a box someplace, color printouts were expensive back then
  17. I can only imagine what the bathrooms look like at Metropolis now that Rob is gone
