  1. Captain Action Superman costume in the box. This is the 2nd issues box so definitely a cheaper copy. I kick myself for ones I passed up a long time ago for a fraction of what they go for today.
  2. I am amazed at how much prices vary on the kits. You can have a kit auction for $600 and then 3 month later only go for $250. A sealed Captain America went for less than $800 with the BP. An open Big Frank with a nice box went for almost $6500. It is crazy
  3. Tonights winnings Quite possibly my favorite win. Loved the Banana Splits as a kid! Down to only one more to finish the entire set. This takes me to 3 of the 6 in the series, all sealed. So I just bought an open kit to finish the runout this sealed one was priced at a bargain
  4. Should have an update on some wins from tonight’s Hakes auction.
  5. Thank you, thank you, thank you
  6. Anyone know if there was any art at the convention? Given not a SINGLE picture posted of the walls of art, I assume there was none at the show. People do know us members of the unwashed masses have to live through those that actually attended the show don't they?
  7. Let me know if you need any emotional support for missing out on a Peanuts strip. I'm here for you.
  8. When I first saw this listed, not going to lie, I got pretty excited. Sadly it has slightly brittle pages. Will be interesting if scarcity trumps the page quality.
  9. If only I hadn't already sold my left nut
  10. That book came out when I was young and wanted to be a comic book artist. It quickly became my bible and I used it all the time for working on becoming a comic book artist. Sadly when I started college I had to choose between engineering and art for my major. Art class didn’t count towards my engineering degree and I ended up picking engineering.
  11. I was bidding on this one earlier but decided to stop, glad I did now
  12. For myself, I would never consider keeping something sent to me on accident but had it been a Ditko Spiderman page with lots of action you can bet I would have got some high resolution images before shipping it back !
  13. I won a piece of artwork on Heritage. They sent me the wrong piece (worth a fraction of what I won). I contacted them and had to mail the piece back before they would send me mine.
  14. I collect gum cards. I have been focusing on Mars Attack for a while and completed the series a while ago but have been upgrading cards. My original goals was everything in 7.0 or higher. I am down to 2 cards to upgrade from a 6.0 to at least a 7.0. May never do it but glad to knock two off the upgrade list.
  15. I am sad to admit, but I am one of the buyers for D&D stuff and may jump into the graded stuff (thus far I have only bought ungraded stuff). WAY too many fond memories of playing in high school. B1 still hold fond memories for me.
  16. My books now show “Scheduled for Grading”. Also called out service as “VINTAGE BULK”. Seventeen books, 4 for the sell pile and the remaining 13 for my personal collection.
  17. Every time you post this picture I feel like the world is a little better
