Thoughts on Greg Pak's 'Turok'? Read on bleeding cool it sold out of its 37k print run, there are some super limited 25 only variants on Midtown. Reckon any are worth picking up? If so which would you go for? I have a soft spot for Jae, but looks like his Super Limited variant and normal Variant are the same art?

Guess its time to get my Cage 1 graded. Been the biggest Luke Cage/Iron Fist fan for ages, glad to see these guys finally get some shine. Could use a press, and certainly pales in comparison to that beaut up above.

My last 2 envelope mailers from Midtown resulted in damaged books each time and that has happened 3 of the last 5 times. I'm done with envelopes. I will either order the 8 or more books it takes to get a box or nothing at all.
On the other hand, they were 100% for the year until late August or early September. Possibly something changed in the business.
so its 8 for a box? good to know. was counting on using them pretty frequently while down here in Georgia (here for a few months between jobs.) but after that packing job got a bit scared off.
anywhere else have similar selection in terms of online retailers?

got my 4 Ottley Variants just in time.
not sure if this is how Midtown usually packs their raws, but i wasn't impressed.
they were in unsealed bags (w/boards but no tape), inside a paper bag folded in half to secure them (but not taped.) then placed between some pretty thin cardboard (only a bit thicker than a backing board tbh.)
they all got here fine, not a ding in sight, but is this the norm for their raw shipping? i had heard good things.

Wish I remembered the episode but Walt Flannigan talks about this being his absolute favorite book on Comic Book Men. He has a nice little speech about what that book meant to him first reading it as a kid.

I actually ordered one off eBay. Shipped in a box for one 3.50 book. Book is minty fresh. Sometimes ya get lucky.

one of my new favorite sellers on this board not only does mike have some amazing stock (rare books that i'd been looking for for ages) but he packs them in tank proof casing, and has great comms the whole way. will definitely be dealing with him again.
