Main LCS was sold out of EOW #2 by the time I got there at 5pm, pretty crazy. Went to the other store which I don't usually like since they charge a bit more and there was a good few #2's with only two #1 second prints. Grabbed one of each in case the second print prices go the way of the Manhattan Projects 2nd print. Though I just realised I now have every printing of the book bar the Ghost variant so I might just start super collecting..

They're limiting it to one per customer now, read the comics listing on the website. Anyone who ordered more than one got their order in ages ago. For those of you who've ordered the FP variant, are you listing the comic already? I don't know when I'm going to get my copy so going to avoid having someone waiting for ages.

Local store had two copies on the shelf at 3pm local time and I got both, they were shocked at how fast it had sold out. Suprised to hear of stores having like 100 copies available. I'm tempted to pick up a Forbidden Planet variant but even postage to Ireland is £8 and they've limited it to 1 per customer now

I never realised a 2nd Printing of #1 is nearly double the price of a 1st printing, what's the standard price for a NM raw of one? I just discovered my copy is 2nd print.

Got the last copy of #3 in my main LCS today at about 4pm today, either they've dropped their order count (unlikely as all the previous printings sold out) or it's gotten more popular. Secondary LCS was sold out on preorders/pulls alone.

Magic The Gathering from IDW have been doing that for the last year or so. At least the card in this case is useful as it can be played but still..

Daredevil #21 - 1st appearance of Superior Spiderman, comes out today Really? This counts? It's just single panel where he's all in shadow. It's a pretty funny panel though.

No need for the sarcasm. I've been reading Chew since the second trade came out and then in single form since so no I'm not a super hardcore been there since #1 follower but I am a fan. Telling a bunch of obvious fans that the comic is more popular than ever is the perfect call for sarcasm. Ah, I was just stating the fact in terms of the poster most likely selling out at SDCC and not being available afterwards. Clearly anyone posting in the thread is a big fan already.

If you want to go as cheap as I did then get the Image Firsts reprint which can be gotten for $4 though most wouldn't like the big "IMAGE FIRSTS" black bar on the side of the cover. Otherwise there's a 3rd printing up for $15 on ebay at the moment.

They might keep a few for sale afterwards but if they put all of them out for sale at SDCC there will certainly be 50 people willing to spend $15 on one. The comic is a lot more popular than even just last year.

Only going to be sold at SDCC , I would love to get one of them but they're going to disappear instantly. I give it a day before they're on eBay for $100.

No he's made it clear that he won't be doing this. Besides, Chew is his comic, he can't leave something he himself owns.

Will it be possible to get the SDCC variants some other way apart from actually being there?

How much are raws of the series going for these days (apart from #1), are they getting inflated because of the increased collectability? I'd like to grab 6-15 in singles (ave 16+ already and 1-5 will probably be too much) but not if they're going for like $15 a copy.
