Saw two of them at Heroes Con. from two different dealers. Both had them displayed on their wall and both for well over ten bucks. Could not find it when I went box diving anywhere. Hopefully one day I'll find one in a discount box for 2 bucks or less.

Not sure if anybody here has seen it yet but the new ComicConnect auction starts today and ends in June and includes this amazing nugget.

I was not aware there was such a huge jump in sales prices from a 9.8 to a 9.9 on modern keys.
-
A 9.8 closed on CLink auction last night for $350. Not sure if a 9.9 would go for $2500+ but $1,000 is very possible

I'll add two more
March '82 - Marvel Fanfare created as an upscale comic to showcase the talents of notable artists.
Sometime in '82 - Micronauts, Kazar and Moon Knight stop distributing to newstands and go only to comic shops and subscriptions.

Fantastic collection Peter however your previous set of Image museum and Chaos Octagon books is still tops in my book. I assume all of those comics are gone now?

I know this is an extremely popular and HTF issue in HG, but $100+ for a VG copy?? Wow. Two guys battling it out. Shill maybe? It's actually a nice looking copy. Maybe someone thinks it's press worthy. Still, even with pressing, $100+ Is there a Cheryl Blossom tv show coming on AMC soon?
Another one

Now it's in the CLink May preview.
Two different books
One is #7/100
Other one is #23/100
-
I could easily see that book at 1K or even 2K but 5K??

My only pickup in this weeks CLink auction. This book has been on my wantlist for a long time in high grade and I finally got one.
-
I really liked a lot of books in that series. I really wish that I had picked up more copies out of dollar bins a decade ago. I think I have only two.
And yes, Copper forum is the best place to discuss many 90's books of significance.

Voltron (1985) is getting a little interesting. 9.8 #1's have been increasing of late from the $70.00 range earlier in the year to the $90.00's now. But this 9.6 set shows demand outside the 9.8 range.
Raw and slabbed copies in less than 9.6 are selling too. I just picked up a sealed 3 pack since my raw issues are a little worn and dirty. I doubt I will break them out.

Would love to see what his 9.2's look like

Fantastic!

Arrived today.
Great book. I know exactly where you got it from as I was seriously debating it at the time. You got a good deal.

Here's one:
Ian's got one or two, this one's mine, and those are the only copies I've ever seen.
I have yet to find a LOSH #45 preview.
And the jury's still out on whether or not the Sandman preview actually exists.
(By the way..is there anything cooler than slabbing a book that doesn't even exist as a title on the census...? )
Just in case you and everyone else was still wondering if it exists, one has surfaced. With the #50 preview selling in the $150-200 range then #1 is priced around $2,800. Wow

WOW. Maybe one day I can get the chance to pick up one of these. Perhaps the book is scarce rather than rare.
-
The book really is tiny. Is that Ian's copy, Warlord's copy or another copy?
-
Great find and it took me many, many years as well. The Arak seemed to have been the most difficult and then Hercules, and then Warlord. A few years ago I ran across the mini-comic alone, and I believe it is on a very thin glossy stock, and only about 8pgs with Grell art. I'll check and let you know.
Please post a pic of the front and back if you can

I'm bumping this to add a little to it. The pink promo you are refering to is also known as the pink ashcan or THB #69. Amazon has a pic of it

At least 5 of them have sold on ebay since November. On ebay right now at least one or two copies of the other books you pictured are available. THB books are not super easy to find and you will probably not find many of them in dollar boxes but none of them that I am aware of qualify as being rare or even scarce.
I got my black and white promo and 1-4 from half price books for $ 0.75 each
Well, there will always be exceptions. Great find BTW.

Well I can't match that...
But, as I mistakenly asked in the 80's thread earlier:
Anyone know what kind of print run Paul Pope's self published THB had?
Finding one in 9.4 and up seems a real chore, though we aren't concerned with that here...
Even the VF+'s go for $25-40 regular on eBay, which seems pretty healthy...
Haven't ever seen any discussion of it on here...
I know this post is old, but I finally found my scan of THB #1. Most of my scans are cropped so they can be placed into online cover galleries.
If I recall, this is a very thick comic which would be hard to keep in nice shape.
I may have more than one, but my comics are in such disarray it would take months to find it if so.
I've also unearthed some scans of other Horse Press item.
Promo... (I think there's a pink one also that I don't own)
Oversized
Treasury-sized items... (stitched scans)
I like Paul Pope's art, but I lost interest after he went to DC with a project.

I still kick myself for not pulling the trigger on your original price last month.
