Ya know, I just might, it sounds geeky, but I have a vision of sitting out on my porch Halloween night while my wife is out at a party, and reading the book in the dark by candlelight...

Solution to my problem... Dre guarantees me a 9.8 slabbed copy.

My conundrum: I want to read the entire book, I have in hand a NYCC Bedlam 1 - BUT I don't want to possibly ruin what looks to be 9.8 candidate by reading it... OH THE CONFLICT!!!

I like the variant cover more, it has a funky look to it which fits the feel of the book.

I think you might be right, not 100% sure though... Just going off what some of the feebay listings say (but we know those aren't reliable)...

And I bought from that guy before, I received a "NM" book in Fine condition...he refunded my cash, but just the fact that he was that far off in his grading is pure awesomeness...

They might have noticed that *spoon* head selling it on ebay too... That is some negative feedback waiting to happen, "Oh sorry, your book won't ship until July 2013"

In a way, I think of it like being in a box - I know it is coming, and I will probably have 1 or 2 in hand sooner than later - so the one that comes at a snails pace is in "storage." I really like this book, so I will be glad to hold on to a couple 9.8s

Yeah, I noticed the same thing, but I don't think they will change our purchase price (might be some legal issues there since it was listed as 39.99).

Glad I grabbed mine yesterday...Even if it takes a while to get it, it's nice to know I have one coming at a good price. If this book does well, I am sure I will have another one in hand sooner than later too... Hopefully a SS one...

I snagged one - if your interested in this book, it seems logical since this price should close to double (or more) once the book comes out (if the heat stays on it like it already is).

Yeah - I really enjoyed the 3rd issue and as it progresses the story is getting stronger and pulling me in more and more. I would be really surprised if this wasn't picked up by someone within the first 10 issues for a TV/Movie production - I know that seems to be thrown around about a lot of books these days, but this has a real TV feel to it, and the 3rd issue pronounced that style to me. Twin Peaks meets Fargo meets Lost.

They have been going for around 75 + Shipping for a little bit now and will probably sit around that until the return in a couple months, I don't think this will drop off much more, and I bet you will get that much when the auction ends tomorrow. I'm thinking this is just too good of a book to see much of a drop off in price, even during the mini-hiatus. Although it has dropped a little since June, if the book picks up where it left off, I think the price will also pick up some.

I got lucky today, stopped in a LCS I normally don't go to, and they had the Variant sitting right there on the shelf boarded and bagged in great condition for 4.99!
