  1. I agree. I don't believe that could be the correct BC scan.

  3. Your argument doesn't work because the existing comic ages are defined by years. Your example of 1820 doesn't work because 1952 is Golden Age whether you're talking about superheroes, pre-code horror, westerns, or ducks. They're all Golden Age, despite extremely different characteristics. 1980s comics are definitely varied, but they're all 1980s comics. It's not an argument, it's a lofty, romantic discussion.

  5. Copies that are still in the hands of the original purchasers - that haven't been bought and sold many times over. Even the slabbed "statistic' isn't necessarily accurate, many of those have been bought and sold and cracked and pressed and resubmitted and sold and cracked and signed and resubmitted. I've had at least a dozen copies of this book that I've bought and resold and none of them were original purchases by me. Then you have losses by attrition: copies that have been read to death; copies that have been vandalized; copies that have just been thrown out; copies that have met an accidental demise over 35 years. Your number makes many assumptions, the first being that every copy distributed still exists. Not debating, just wondering.
  6. I am really starting to wonder how many unsold OPs (original purchases) still exist out there.
  7. Doctor O'Strange? The once sacrosanct ages have become as feeble as virgin choir boys
  8. C'mon - Baby needs new shoes! What's HOT and what's not? Either you tell me or I'm a gonna start telling' you!
  9. A tad contentious (and completely unfounded.) I believe this type of discourse is strike-worthy.
  10. I like that both covers are 9.8. Think you should time the sale just before the movie release.
