  1. In addition to using the right box or packaging materials, the key to safe shipping is to allow absolutely NO space for the contents to move about - The interior needs to be as secure as the exterior.
  2. Even those now need to be reinforced, as they have gotten very thin on the cardboard used.
  3. Actually Joeypost sent me a box of X-Men seconds (for him) several thousand years ago using those boxes, but he had reinforced every side with extra-thick cardboard - it's the only way to do it if you are going to use those.
  4. That's the most damage I have ever seen to a stack of books.
  5. No offense intended, but why do you have your slabs in the attic?
  6. I don't necessarily disagree, but It's not always about the money. If you are slabbing a set, get it slabbed - it's part of the history and a clearly superior version of the cover. If your set is all Mylars, then keep it in mylar. I wouldn't mind having a copy or two - one for my HTD collection, and one for the SSH run.
  7. Obviously, all you guys were drinking last night . . .
  8. Comments aside . . . VERY nice copy! (Ken Barr's covers are some of my favorites!)
  9. Just a mistake is my guess, because the clerk had to flip the year on the stamp that month (unless Mr. Magoo worked at the shop. )
  10. @JohnH19 Date stamps were more often return dates than receipt dates - that's a retail copy. There is no reason for a second-hand shop to date an item.
  11. Marvel Magazines, which ones are collectible and/or hard to find? A: All of them.
  12. Interiors are where sigs are supposed to be - otherwise it just color-touch.
  13. Wish I still had my copy of Fangoria #1 that I scored off of DiceX . . .
  14. Call me a purist, but . . . THAT is NOT Spider-Man! (Amazing or otherwise.)
