  1. Indeed - the seamed polybag is the worst thing to ever happen to comics . . .
  2. Exactly three years ago . . . and that was only to use up the outstanding credit on my account before it expired due to the new membership "benefit" structure.
  3. For all of the foregoing reasons (except the FRIES), I haven't sent a book in to be graded for over three years (maybe longer). I've still got a couple of Newton Ring slabs that just won't sell.
  4. They are considered incomplete books. Keep them as readers, or trade/give them to someone else. I have sold mine at the comic conventions I do as dollar books. Or just pack 'em all up and send them to me . . . I'll pay the postage.
  5. It's definitely come up in the Golden Age forum. Books worth thousands appear to sell for $5.00... Which, of course, means that some of the data is incorrect and using the sold data as a guide (for either buying or selling) is specious, at best.
  6. Interesting note: if you sell on eBay using the auction and make offer format (vs. the Best Offer format) the final sale price is not accurately posted in the sold prices index. Anyone else notice this?
  7. Yep I missed that train by about an hour. Time to sell, sell, sell!
  8. Can we shut down this thread so that people don't double-down? TY
  9. if done properly . . . You may also have a price indent on the cover
  10. A thread locked while I was away on sabbatical? Unheard of . . .
  11. The market place is way too big to change it - its a lot easier for me to change. The keys books sell quickly for a premium and they sell in droves. I still post up high grade copies of non keys books but I may get a couple sales a week so no point in bringing up those outlier sales. Be the change you want to make. It's not really all about $$$ (unless of course, it is . . . )
  12. #8 seems to do pretty well but I would agree the speculation market on Micronauts can't compare to the Eternals run. Seems like half the Eternals set can be sold for $30 or more in high grade. I'm still seeing most of the Micronauts run going for $1 each even after the movie news is taking off. It's not always about #1s and first apps you know . . . you can change the marketplace by teaching them.
  13. You aren't as smart as you think you are Dr. shoo. Let's take a look at 188 posts and see what you've contributed here.
  14. Oh I wasn't disagreeing with you - I'm all over the Cyberfrogs - just love 'em. I was just pointing out another nice find.
