  1. I'll stick to official variants.

This probably sounds snarky, and I don't intend it to be, but what does that mean? This is published and printed by Image and approved by the creators, seems official enough to me.

  2. I could kick myself when it comes to the Seeley art for Afterlife with Archie.

    The first cover...

    seeleyr5.jpg

was sold on eBay as "Bowtie "R" Tim Seeley Original Art Page" for a benefit for a comic artist before Afterlife with Archie was really a thing. Ended at $25.01.

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bowtie-R-Tim-Seeley-Original-Art-Page-Sketch-Gregory-Auction-/310694074741?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4856cf5975

The other covers (including one that wasn't used)...

    timseeleyarchies-e1393732287155.jpg

Tim sold those for a VERY (ridiculously!) cheap price at a convention. The buyer listed them on eBay for a huge markup. Then the auction was pulled.

  3. Bedlam next week!

    :whee:

Here is to hoping #12 comes out on time afterwards :wishluck:

Don't hold your breath, #12 hasn't even been solicited yet, has it? Not seeing it listed anywhere.

  4. Mike Renegar had something to do with the creation. He worked at Palisades, then had his own G.I. Joe store for a bit.

I either have or had (don't remember if I sold them when I started disassembling my Joe collection) both the regular and the foil. Will have to do some digging to see if they are still there.

I do have the DF lithograph of the cover, as well as the full size poster, ran across those by accident a few days ago.

  5. REVIVAL 19 Cover and solicitation for March...

  6. Somehow, Amazon has a double listing for the REVIVAL hardcover. Not sure why, but that could be the issue.

One is under ISBN 1607068176 which I don't think is correct. That shows it being a preorder.

The other is under ISBN 1607068141. That one shows as in stock for $21.65 with 7 left and more on the way.

  8. To get back on topic a little. Has anyone heard the reason the publisher decided to issue the book every 6 weeks instead of monthly?

Yes, Diamond had mention of it...

In order to allow this phenomenal creative team to provide the same level of quality on subsequent issues that they did on issue #1, Archie has adjusted the release schedule from monthly to every six weeks. The revised schedule is as follows:

    #2 on-sale moves from 11/13/13 to 11/20/13 (AUG130985 & AUG130986)

    #3 on-sale moves from 12/11/13 to 1/1/14 (SEP130883 & SEP130884)

Issue #4 is being re-solicited in the November PREVIEWS (#302) with new order codes.

I'd rather keep the same art team and have it come out a little slower.

  9. I ordered the collector cover bundle on the 9th and it arrived yesterday.

Also placed an order on the 15th with another copy of the 23 collector cover (with the choose 10 + a six issue subscription).

I had picked up the first two trades of the series at Wizard World Chicago, now I'm almost caught up and good for another six issues.

  10. This is both good and bad as a reader, but I'll take the schedule change over fill in artists and rush jobs...

  11. Yes, the Pop's version was the one they had for sale, the help wanted one was supposedly for people dressed as zombified versions of Archie characters.

The first 50 people to show up at the booth each day of the convention dressed as Archie zombies will receive a special, super-limited, exclusive Afterlife with Archie variant (pictured right).

  13. When's this come out this year? Hmmm... I need to read my previews better!

October, will be in the PREVIEWS later this month (and it was either missed or held back when CBR posted the Image solicitations this month).

Omnibus 2 - Collects: Hack/Slash 1-11 (DDP), Annual 1 featuring the Suicide Girls, portions of 12 and 13, and 14-17.

Omnibus 3 - Collects: Hack/Slash 18-32 (DDP), Entry Wound, Hackoween, and The Living Corpse Annual 1.

Omnibus 4 - Collects: Hack/Slash 1-11 (Image Comics), Annual #2: Murder Messiah, Annual #3: Hatchet/Slash, Hack/Slash meets Zombies vs. Cheerleaders, Hack/Slash 2011 Holiday Special (never before in print).

Omnibus 5 - Collects: Hack/Slash 12-25 (Image Comics) and Mercy Sparx: A Slice of Hell

Omnibus 1 is sort of a mix, even when I was reading the books as they came out I wasn't totally hooked. The Hack/Slash vs Chucky book kind of tied it back together and I started liking it more, then got really hooked with the DDP series (Omnibus 2-3).
