    My serious response (but, do check the modern & water cooler threads for TWD discussions in progress ) is that: They said in talking dead that Rick didn't wan't to be that guy anymore for Carl after what he did to the boy in the woods. He figures without a gun, Carl won't be as aggressive. Plus I don't think Rick wants to lead anymore.

    Just like anything when it takes a few month break, stuff cools down. Expect a strong bounce back when the next issue starts up next month...good time to get RRP variants if your into those things
