  1. Just found this thread and its references to '40s Captain Marvel artist Bob Butts, whose post-comics career was unknown. Bob Butts left comics but later published a series of books under the name Robert Butts, co-written with his wife Jane Roberts, that had a huge influence on the New Age spiritual movement in the 1970s.
