  1. CBT, i thought I was the only one who saw John Marston on the cover of this book! I too wish death was a little more gruff. Maybe dragotta is going for the sophisticated look, is that a Feragamo suit death wears?? At least he could have given him a gnarly scar on the cheek or somethin. The "high noon" showdown page is my favorite so far followed by the 2nd to last page.

    Can't wait for issue #2!!

  2. My dinky little LCS was only ordering 2 copies about a month and a half ago. I asked him to order 5 copies just for me so he upped his order to 10. When they came in wednesday, there were people standing in the store waiting on them. A couple people complained when clint (owner), put 5 copies in my box and had none for them. The other 5 got snapped up, none actually made it to the shelf. The owner bags and boards every book you buy for free, and when i say my copies were pristine, i mean it. I don't think i've ever got such nice books, and thats tough to say given image's fascination with white front and back covers lately. Honestly though i like the minimalist feel of the cover art such as Nowhere Men, Manhattan Projects, EoW and so on.

I tried to explain to one guy that previews puts their book out for a reason. I told him to go through it every month and whatever books he has a good feeling about then preorder a handful of copies.

I think all 10 copies were spoken for as soon as they were taken out of the box!

  3. Nevermind. I viewed my order and it's been charged and is waiting to be shipped! The tales of multiple copies getting canceled had me worried. Looks like i'll get my .2% of the print run haha.

Jjeanius is doin it big!! Congratulations.

  4. I would pull the trigger at $80-100 for sure. Maybe even up to $120. But if people snap up the first few on ebay for more than that i wont buy it. I'd love to get someone to snag a copy for me, for a nominal fee of course. If the print run is 1,000 or more, the book should be in the $100-150 range. Raw copies are what i prefer so far, maybe the day will come that i sub some books.

  5. I ordered 2 copies of the FP variant and confirmed the shipping quote. It's processing now.

Just read the book and i must say, its awesome. I might be biased because i absolutely love westerns. The showdown page is great. I can't wait till issue 2. Now i'm glad i preordered 5 copies, this title should take off. Once i get the ghost and RRP variants, i'll be complete! Unless they Bedlamize it. Either way, i'm in for the duration.

  6. The resolution is that Nate refunded my money. As i am obviously 100% wrong here, this will be the last post from me on this topic. But i will say that resolving a problem or finding a middleground takes 2 people. If he says that he was too busy too mail the art then he was too busy. Thats that. Its over.

  7. I was told once that it was packed and ready to go and would be mailed the following monday. Then a week later, it was just being sealed but there was a problem with a panel. Then no response at all. I doubt however i handled it would have been the right way. If i had waited 3 months then someone would say to wait 4.

  8. February 22nd i believe. And i did not hassle or hound him. We exchanged a bunch of emails in the beginning, ironing out details and what not. But then i would email him on saturdays if i hadn't heard anything during the week. I even stated that i would wait as long as i needed to as long as i had an idea of what was going on. There will be people on both sides of this fence, everybody's entitled to their opinion and thats great.

  9. First off , the tone of the emails were incredibly kind and understanding on my part. I was patient as could be. After quite a few promising to ship it the very next day and nothing ever happening, i came here. And to be fair, i was never mean or nasty, but i told him that if nothing gets worked out then this is what it would come to. How long am i supposed to wait while he ignores the emails? All it would take is 30 minutes to box up some stuff and run to the post office. His girlfriend even explained to me that that was her job! Still nothing!!

And i'm the bad guy???? I guess since he's an artist and is soooo busy that i was just supposed to get burned and keep my mouth shut.

And about the comment that i rummaged around and found his personal email and blah blah blah. He has a website that he sells art on guy!! How is that cyberstalking or anything else? I sent an email thru the contact tab and he responded almost immediately. I'm just trying to prevent one of you from the same thing and i get called out for it? Awesome!!

Thank you to the few people that are on my side!
