  2. And the second post of what I just got in, and a few comments..... Marvila la Mujer Maravilla #21 Al Capp's Dogpatch Comics #2 Flash Gordon #2 - from the UK Superman und Batman #17 - German version of 1st Batgirl Okay, so maybe weird comments. The Batgirl I submitted was published by "Ehapa" and CGC clearly prints that on the labels. Now the two WWs came back with "DC" as the publisher, but they have a "EN" in the corner of the book. I actually don't even remember them listing "DC" anywhere inside the books at all. And they actually misspelled "Spanish" on the labels of each. Also the name CGC used for the label of the Batgirl is "Superman", but the comic is actually "Superman und Batman". So that's a tiny bit odd. Then what was off was the "Flash Gordon" comic. They printed "no date" on the label, but I clearly remember seeing the date on the inside of the book in Roman numerals and it being from the 1950s. Is this a common occurrence?
  3. First of two posts of what I just got in this week. I submitted these back at ECCC in March. Sorry for the bad pictures, the slabs won't fit all the way in my scanner. Amazing Spider-Man #175 Peter Parker #27 & 28 - 1st Miller DDs Marvila la Mujer Maravilla #20 I knew the WW would grade low, but I really wanted to have it in a slab. The paper and cover of this book are almost like bad newsprint, and super thin.
  4. I don't think MARVEL is involved with either movie. Regardless, neither was worth the money or time I spent.
  5. I might be in the minority, but I didn't like the film at all. Actually wasn't a fan of any of the movies in the series, but did (for the most part) enjoy both First Class and the last Wolverine movie. (I did love that Claremont made a cameo in it, Len Wein too, but I've never seen what he looks like to have caught that). (I just saw Spider-Man 2 on Monday too, which was completely atrocious). I told my friend in the theater that the end scene should have been something for Spider-Man since they had something for them in his movie. Either way, Marvel - I want my $20 from this week.
  6. And more to add to my Batgirl collection! (Terrible shape on the Detectives, but really didn't pay anything for them, they'll be fine... for now).
  7. Some X-23's (Actually had bought her first appearance as well, but it was damaged in the mail. The guy I bought it from just packaged it in a bag and backboard and placed it in an envelope. That's it. Needless to say it went straight back. Was mad since it's one of my two "must have" books).
  8. Some Wonder Woman's... (I purchased the two already graded, and am wanting to actually send in the Marvila's. Would CGC actually grade these?)
  9. A few posts of some stuff I have gotten in recently... Some DCs.
  10. Got these in last week, but haven't been around to post. Bought all these on eBay auctions earlier this year and submitted at ECCC. New Gods #1 and Showcase #56 from DC, Iron Man #5 from Marvel.
  11. Okay, not a comic book, but just got this and I luv it!
  12. Just got back about a few hours ago. Submitted at ECCC in Seattle on March 1st. Way faster turnaround time than last year. Not happy with the 9.6s, but oh well. At least I finally got me a graded Babs! (My friend got his first submission back in this group as well - the Adventure Time ECCC exclusive). Still waiting on my other order (in that order the books are a liiiiittle bit older...)
  13. Didn't know this thread existed, I posted these in a different one a few days ago.
  14. Just got this in today. It's a European version of the first appearance of Batgirl! The dealer said it was a 3.0, but I didn't care since this has been a book that I've always wanted to own (I will settle on this until I can one day have the American version). The pix are from the front and back covers, and the first two pages of the story itself. Also inside are extra stories from Superman and a Infantino drawn Flash! Even with the low grade and spine roll, I'm going to send it in for myself.
  15. X-Men #244 - 1st app. of Jubilee Just got this a few days ago from an auction. I know it's only a 9.2 and not a rare book, but no one was bidding on it, I think I got a good deal on it and I'm a Claremont fan.
  16. Great Dave Stevens covers! And has the Shadow reminded anyone else of Frank Miller or has it just been me all these years...... And yes, I think the submission time SHOULD be posted each time.
  17. Okay, hopefully this works, this is my first time posting in the forums and also my first time getting back something from CGC. Submitted these at the Emerald City Comic Con this past April 1st in Seattle. Was told there was going to be a twenty day turnaround. I just received these back today, so they were just a little off on the time frame. Either way, I just submitted a couple books to try out the service, which I was pleased with (other than the time). I don't collect much anymore, but I think the two Star Wars books will stay with me. I think I'm going to be submitting my copies of Mad Magazine # 2 and #7 next order (which I think would get back in November / December if submitted now......)
