  1. those new shirts are SDCC shirts. i think i read that if there are any left after SDCC, they may wind up on the website

They released those at the Expo. I got Saviors and Survivors! :cloud9: Great looking shirts just the same material quality as the Kill Them All! shirt.

Wonder if its the same as 'The Remains' shirt I bought at NYCC last year. The collar tore after just one wash :( :( :( :( :( :(

That's not so great on the Zenescope unleashed.. I think retail was $125 doh!

  3. Just read #3 last night. Anybody else have a Printing error on the inside "title" page (approx. inside pg 4-5 I think?) Both my pull copies have a straight vertical crease running the length of the book in the same spot.

Not really worth it to make a fuss at the shop, and of course I didn't open the bag and board (free on Wed) to double check.

Wondering if my books were just part of a bad lot or if the whole run had this.

    Mine have this defect:

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/East-of-West-3-NM-1st-Print-Image-/370826623018?pt=UK_Books_Comics_Magazines_US_Comics_ET&hash=item5656fd382a

Same here, except my 'crease' is on the right side of the book. I have two copies on my pull list and they both have this defect. It looks like it would press out, but it looks like there is smeared ink or dirt in the 'crease' on the interior pages.

Wonder how this book would grade with said defect??

  4. They're not all about DC. They do mention Justice League/Flash a lot and Batman on occasion, but they also talk about Thor nonstop (and one of them was Thor for Halloween). And Captain Sweatpants in the comic book store.

Did you notice that every book in the comic shop they visit is a DC book?

They do mention Marvel characters, but all the merchandise on screen is DC

  5. Just a heads up to the modern folks (even though this is really bronze and pre-bronze info.):

Saw sneaky shots of post-credit scenes for Wolverine #2 movie....Jean Grey as Phoenix poppin up outta nowhwere....teasing Days of Future Past.

So you've obviously got the DOFP issue to BOLO for, but first app. Phoenix (X-men 101) & first app. Sentinels (X-men 14) to be huntin' down like dogs.

Of course first app. Wolverine is always popular in Hulk 181 (duh).

Now back to your regularly scheduled moderns.

    Thanks for the spoiler

  6. They originally were going to do a take on 'Demon in a Bottle' and show Tony's alcoholism. Apparently, the studio didn't want to portray the character as an alcoholic, so they switch it to anxiety attacks. I felt like that was a reasonable compromise.

I don't think anyone can honestly say it wasn't a fun experience to watch the film. I can, however, understand why fans would be upset that they strayed from the source material. I've learned to just try to let it go and have fun while watching

  7. Death killed the pres because the pres tried to kill him.

C, W and F killed the next in line until a they found someone who would continue on with the former presidents plans.

C, W and F are not aligned with Death and do not have the same motives.

In issue one, you see C, W and F as adult horsemen surrounding Death while some of the chosen look on. Looks like its everyone in this book vs Death, Crow and Wolf.

Thank you for that explanation! It makes so much sense now!

I will have to reread 1-2 now that I have this new found clarity and appreciation!

  8. There are only four horsemen of the Apocalypse:

    Death: still an adult

Conquest, War and Famine: the three children.

C, W and F were killed and have come back reborn. Death is still alive as an adult and has formed his own posse with the Wolf and the Crow.

Ok.. I understand now. I was under the impression that the two characters rolling around with death were two other horsemen.

    One more question though:

If death is trying to foil the plot of the kids, then why did he kill the president? Isn't that the same agenda that the kids have?

  9. You're not alone! Everyone I've discussed EoW with is having the same problem.

Another question I have about the 'cliffhanger' ending...

so death has a wife.. and shes still alive.. is this supposed to be a shock to the reader? Why set this up as a cliffhanger?

I agree with this too. As I don't really know what's going on, or have even the most basic facts about Death straight in my mind, I said "huh." rather than "wow!" when I got to that page. (shrug)

    Yep! Same here
