  1. BleedingHeartsCool ran an article about Alias 24, 1st Purple Man Netflix show version, and as you can guess there's no copies on ebay now

    http://www.bleedingcool.com/2015/01/28/speculator-corner-alias-24-the-new-purple-man/

It's not really a first appearance of anything, though, is it?

I'm not sure what Bleeding Cool means by the "new" Purple Man. It's the same guy as before. Same name. Same powers. Same everything, really.

    So... so what, exactly?

Daredevil #4 (1963) 1st Purple Man is the way to go.

  2. Captain Marvel #1 (2012 series)

    get the rarest variant :gossip:

Thankfully there's only 3 1st print covers total. Whew

I believe it was Avenging Spider-man #9 where Carol Danvers appeared first as Captain Marvel. It shares the same published date with Captain Marvel #1 (2012) series but was released first.

    Avenging Spider-man #9 - July 11, 2012

    Captain Marvel vol 7 #1 - July 18, 2012

Both are key books and spec worthy.

  3. You've all been immeasurably supportive of Enormous.

So, here's the first thing we're going to do, and there's other news coming specifically directed to you all on this board. But first things first -

If you are going, and I mean you are confirmed for NYCC and would like the Enormous #4 variants available via ComicXposure.

Send me (PM) your name and email and just in case - phone.

I will compile a reservation list and pass it directly to ComicXposure (they've agreed to this) and a limit of 2 copies per each cover will be reserved in your name. Available for pick up at the show.

If you are having a friend "pick up" copies for you - send me their name like so with your contact info:

    John Smith for Ed Jones

    Cool?

We want you all to have this book!

    Wow Amazing !

  4.

Don't see it being any more valuable than any of the other books. The characters in this book are all normal human beings for the most part and very rarely do "normie" books do much.

Plus the first appearance of issue #5 was in Previews & that's doing nothing at the moment

    ;)

    :boo:

  5. Just contacted 1up collectables ( I have an order for multiple copies of #2 through them placed early last month) to confirm my order...order still good, but like many, they are waiting. It did not show up again this week.

Damn Diamond!!! By this rate, we'll have #2, #3 and #1 reprint on the same week.

Did your order from 1up ever come in?

I've had a pre-order in for a long time now too for issues 2 and 3, and so far they haven't even responded to my emails :(

I called them last week Wednesday; they stated still nothing had come in (issue #2 or #3). They stated they had orders for over 75 books supposedly coming in and haven't received anything for Enormous since issue #1. Tried to call today but didn't get anyone (I'll try later).

My best guess is its so late in the game that Diamond will probably respond "we have no idea where your copies are" and all the orders will be refunded. Bye Bye getting @ cover copies...

Update: No Enormous books this week either...they just finished opening up the boxes.

I made 3 orders to them over a year ago. First order came in after about 6 weeks.

The last 2 orders were always on back order. Took over 2 months to get refunds on the last 2 orders. I did get my money back just takes a long time.

  6. I wasn't following this very closely, but I believe the writer of ZERO had posted something cryptic about it maybe becoming a TV Show. Now there's been an actual announcement that it is officially in development for television.

If you read the interview he gave its a TV show that isn't the same as the comic.

The Tone and the idea are the same. What does this mean ?

Tv is not the same as the comic. Which means different characters.

So a Tv show kind of based on the comic but not really.

  7. I don't see generic issues being worth anything unless/until there is an actual TV show being aired.

This, of course, does not apply to issue 43, which should soon be worth more than issue 1.

Someone paid $35 for issue #43 yesterday so there you have it. :)

I hope the buyer is very happy with their purchase. ;)

A comic is worth what someone is willing to pay for it......

    Correct ?

I dont understand it myself and can only say wtf on issue 43.

I will be selling the one i have..

  8. That Superman/Batman Annual 4 is a tough find, especially the 2nd printing.

It's the Batman Beyond issue IMO. Came out the same day as Batman 700, but unlike 700, he's the central figure of the story. The first story to really make him a part of the DCU.

Superman/Batman Annual 4 was released before Batman 700 which was released before Batman Beyond 1 (the 2010 series).

The Superman/Batman Annual book is his first appearance/origin in the main DC universe and the second print was only a few thousand copies.

The first issue of the 1999 mini series is obviously the book to get but Annual 4 is the second.

The 1999 mini is very liquid right now, I'm guessing a near mint set of those 6 books would fetch anywhere from 75 to 100 dollars at the moment.

I haven't been able to find a Superman/Batman Annual 4 in the wild and believe me, I've looked

Its hard but not impossible. I have actually found more 2nd prints then 1st prints. I think I got $30 for my last 1st print.

Sets of the 1999 series are selling well, but they are nowhere near $75-100 currently. Will they get there maybe? Current demand seems more for just the first issue.

I think buyers could care less about the origin. They want the 1st app.

Seems lately I just put my book up it sells in a day for at the time is a good price then few days later the book explodes. Rinse repeat.....

I think buyers could care less about the origin. They want the 1st app.

    Exactly

    HAIL HYDRA !

  9. Don't get angry larry everybody still loves you.

But again Proof or it didnt happen.

You've had two people in the retail side tell you this is so and I spoke with my local LCS that backed this statement. Will a copy of the invoice faxed to you the only way to end this inquiry? (shrug)

I've also had 2 people on the retail side tell me it did NOT happen as these stores got exactly what they ordered for the exclusives.

No need to get your emo feelings worked up. I just want proof. If it cant be provided then oh well.

What stores in your city ordered exclusives? I live in the 7th largest city in the U.S. ( San Antonio) and not one of our LCS ordered exclusives.

Not in my city i used a telephone .

I'm over it now. But until i see proof it didnt happen.

We can do this all day so i'm done.
