Ya right, thats crazy talk ......looks like I'll be selling a few #1's soon ......

Drove for an hour today, different LCS's looking for RQ..found a #2, #4 & #6. The 2 & 4 looked like someone enacted vengeance on the spines, they were folded in half with multiple spine ticks throughout. The #6 was a keeper. Not having much luck at all.

I went to the 3 stores in my area today too. I was looking for anything after the first issue . All they had in total was 2 copies of #3, but they look like they were run over . so nada.

I had to leave collecting for a bit due to personal reasons but this was one of the last titles I preordered before I took a break. So I was hoping to find some but I came up empty.....

It stated on that blog that Rat Queens and Deadly Class both had original stories not found in the monthly comic book (it stated they weren't your "average" preview stories).

 

If this could be confirmed, this "preview" book would be the actual first appearance, no???

 

if you want to split hairs I suppose so but I sense there will not be a huge market for What's Next cgc 9.8's nor would it ever get the label notation of a "1st appearance"

Ya its the market that will dictate it........#1 will be labeled as 1st apperence, you can almost guarentee that one. Just as in the past with other books.....

This flu thing only works, scientifically, if it was the flu that killed them in the first place and they bled from all them orifices and then reanimated.

 

I think this is what is happening in the show right? They get sick, die, then reanimate.

 

 

In the prison yes. They didn't really get into the flu origins, if it's a new flu strain that's a mega flu because of all the decomposing diseased flesh walking around, or if every Zombie with bleeding eyes was a living human who died of the flu.

 

That's the only way the flu would really work.

 

Almost nothing on the show regarding zombies is possible if you scientifically examine it deeply enough, so I am sticking to a nice "it's an allegory" analysis and let the hard science go in exchange for a morality play, that set in this world to give us something as powerful as anything I've seen in literature or film.

Exactly, people need to just throw everything aside and take it in for what it is....a good hour of tv enjoyment. If you get that out of it , isn't it all worth it?

I would have done the same if I was Carl, he asked him to put it down and the kid hesitated...............kill or be killed.

Not sure if its been mentioned but did anyone notice how Tye screwed in the light bulb and it worked???

Is it just me or did the DC 3D cover craze end as quickly as it started?

It was just another gimmick. Books that were selling for 10-15 are now not even getting a bid at cover on ebay. There are few that will probably stay above cover but for the most part just DC finding new ways to take your money.

As for TWD everyone says the same thing every year. Remember a few years back when they were $100 and everyone was saying dump dump dump..............#1 drops a few bucks during the break but that can be expected. There is no way it drops under $1500 for a 9.8 by the end of the year. I seen raws still going for almost a grand that are NM and 9.8 white labels still getting over 2k no problem.

Early numbers on #1 are almost 3x what was expected by the publisher, although things can change between now and the FOC.

Yup. I'd say $20 average. I kept one back just in case, stuffed it in the long box

Right now I would not be surprised if 5K of #1 is stuffed in the boxes of every speculator out there combined.

I would say you wouldn't be far off.

MCS plus a few others still have the regular cover in stock.

Keep at it Frank, I love this book. Some of us on here do read........don't mind the trolls that are only here for one reason.

What's board policy on profanity? Some pages have some vulgar language.

Differs all the time, but if its not intended in a bad way (like in an argument for example) it seems to slip through most times........
