Maybe it's just me but is it possible that the bidder thought the #1 2nd print was actually thought bubble variant? That's the only explanation I can think of for someone to pay that much. There are current BIN that are much less than $130.

Very good writer has written a very dialogue centric book. It will take a few readings to get some of it (A good thing.) Had this book a different artist I think it would have been much better recieved. The art is very distracting. If you like the art in Proof you will like this book Very disturbing images in first issue. Has developed a following by some. Variants really hurt the book otu of the gate. Now after 3 issues fans of the book are really enjoying it. My two cents

 

Agreed. I just finished reading #3 and I think I am hook. Going to be one of my monthly pull for the foreseeable future.

Man #1 1st print has really been bumped up in value. A couple months ago they were going for around $20-$30 raw. Now I see them all above $50 on ebay.

For what it worth 2 of my LCS sold out #2 on Weds and I had to go to a 3rd one to pick it up. Either they didn't order a lot or it is being sold pretty quickly.

No disrespect but this listing makes me laugh because it's like a little kid whining saying, hey my book has the first appearance, not Mondo 1.

Is it whining if what he's saying is true though? It could just be that he is trying to educate people while trying to sell a book.

I still haven't got mine from 3rd Eye. E-mailed them over the weekend and they said it would be ship on Monday, but I still don't see tracking info so not sure if that has been done yet or not. Does 3rd Eye uses tracking for their shipping?

I emailed with a guy from Third Eye yesterday who said the storm definitely delayed things (but thankfully they're all safe), and that a huge stack of books were being shipped today (yesterday) and tomorrow (today).

Sound good. First time ordering through them so wasn't sure what to expect. Thanks.

Anyone else still not received their Phantom Variant pre-order from Third Eye? It appears at least 1 person had received their as I seen 1 feedback, but I can't even tell if mine has been shipped yet or not as there is no tracking. First time I ordered something from Third Eye so not sure if they don't use tracking or something.

Grading is rather subjective in the eye of the beholder. As such not all same grade books are the same. That's why even when buying graded book I still want to see close up front and back scans/photos.
