Has any received or know anyone who has received any art from them in the past few months?

Glad folks had a good time. Wasn't there, but looking at the various pics I've seen posted, it appears that the crowds seemed a little bit sparse. Perhaps that's a feature and not a bug for a show like this? Maybe attendees could comment on the crowd/attendance?
Definitely a feature and really a perfectly sized room for the guests and attendees. When we all gathered for the auction that room was packed and you could see what attendance truly was.

Can someone post the results or highlights of the OAX auction?
I didn’t stay for the majority of it but for what I thought were the coolest pieces,…the Allred paintings both went for just over the opening bid of $4k. I almost bid on the Surfer as it is just a monstrously amazing piece of art. The Beatty SW8 piece $2800 I think.
Told to me, second hand….The Gerhard/Hughes piece went for $9100, the Bianchi Weapon X $8500, The Manix around 5k (his art is gorgeous in person and he is a really nice guy.) was told the Kang card art did very well(There was a fairly large group of card art collectors there)- Catwoman_Fan, Twanj and cloud cloddie

Really cool site so far! How long have you been up and running? What is the long term vision?
2019 I think? Made it because I never built a website before and to improve my writing skills. I love art and I know there can be a steep learning curve so focused a lot on helping newer collectors learn things I wish I knew.

Pictures, people!
I've posted shots from 8 kabillion Comic Art Expos and NYCCs over the years. You guys are really letting me down here.
Anything specific you want to see?

I know Bill's primary goal was obviously driving attendance, and I'm sure he's getting plenty of footage for future recap videos, but it would be great to see the auction live-streamed. I'm not even saying that bidding online would need to be part of it, it would just be fun to see everything that was up for grabs and watch the action.
Just left the auction, they were still on B after about half an hour and there was not a ton of bidding on some of the early lots so may not be as fun as you think lol.

The Seasons of Mist page is much more insane in my mind. Maybe craziest results in the auction so far. I was watching the live bidding and was floored watching it.
It seemed like the Sandman market pulled back a bit post show hype, but with these two results maybe that’s over and then some. -
Hard to estimate any sort of price on so many pieces as comparatively a lot of these results make no sense.

The #181 page surprised me too. Beautiful page, but, I didn't think a standalone Bullseye page would fetch a price like that. Standalone Elektra, sure, as that's Miller's creation and #168-181 pages featuring the character are the most prized, but, Bullseye only surprised me. Guessing it was probably a throwdown between two people who really wanted this page and that the 2nd underbidder was miles away.
I'd be more inclined to call this one an outlier, though, and not Miller DD as the new Miller DKR. Would need to see more sales like this one to convince me, personally.
Speaking of Daredevil, the #42 cover (1st Jester appearance) selling for $49.6K yesterday seemed like a bargain for the buyer.
I find the comparison of these two pieces so interesting. Pre auction I would have guessed the Miller would have sold for slightly more, 3x seems crazy to me. I wonder what Mandel thought of the results.
As you said very strong for a page without DD/Elektra. I would bet that page never sells higher ever. -
Judging by the pieces sold, and the pieces available at pretty reasonable prices IMO seems like a very weak show so far. Not a lot of buying at all.

Same, lots of pre-auction interest and just no desire to spend money today for some reason.
I think the reason is pretty obvious with the events of the past 48 hours.
Little live bidding and some of it seemed very hesitant. They really had to milk some of these bids out. I actually placed a few bids on stuff not necessarily at the top of my want list, but they were so low I had to take a shot.
The DKR pages went at what I thought the minimum was $250k/300k bit thought they had a chance for more. I’m sure Mandel is happy with paying that for them assuming that’s where they went.

agreed. Even with only Swampy's feet being visible, that's THE issue to have a page from. I love that issue and would love a page but I don't care enough to pay 50k+ for the type of page I'd want. But I'm sure there's lots of schmucks like me that would stop it from ever getting too cheap.
Yeah I figured the issue would be at a premium just not by that much…..especially extrapolating to a page with better content being in the 50k+ range. I still really need to scratch the itch and add a Moore run example.
I thought the Miller DD was about right for a Bullseye fight page pre 168.
The Tim Sale pages did ok, the DPS was pretty strong.
The Sandman pages I probably should have thrown another bid or two on a couple of them…but I think prices are coming down after the pre show hype prices.
I am very surprised the prices were as strong as they were on the Matt Wagner pieces due to the sheer number of them.

I think in general they would get more separate but in this case maybe not as buyers may hesitate much more bidding on the second page due to it basically being a rejected page. Doesn’t look so good when you title it alone that way.

Not as huge as they would if they were the actual published version.
Yeah, I went through the mental gymnastics of the proper discounted value of the page should be, but in the end it is what it is and where they end up actually selling for may not be far off.
-
What’s the number for the collusion hotline so I can ask everybody to refrain from bidding on the DKR pages?
They are going to go for a huge number aren’t they.

Agreed.
I won the Joker splash. I was in love with that series as a kid - my favorite bad guy has his own book? - and Novick’s version is one of my favorites.
I own about half the pages from the first issue, but quality pages have been hard to come by so I had to jump at this one
Congrats it is fantastic, the splash was one of my targets in the auction but went for a lot more I thought(hoped) it would.
-
The Novick pieces performed very well. Nice to see his early bronze Batman work getting some love.
-
Well, a specific piece I have been looking for a long time is in today’s auction. I have no idea what it will hammer for or what I am willing to pay for it, so that will make for a fun experience.

I suppose. I guess people liked the Kirby Krakle around the Supreme Intelligence Page with Johnny and Thing (weirdly) sleeping in the same bed better than Crystal in action.
Those first two panel are stunning on that page, people pay up for examples like that. Kirby I thought was pretty even keel. Not high not low.

Yeah, that corner of the market has crashed pretty hard, but this auction was hilariously low(not funny if you were a consignor though)
I actually won 2 pieces last night, one easily at half what I thought it was worth.
Don’t think I have won more than one piece from a single auction in 5 years or so. Was tempted to buy a few more pieces but I have my sights set on something in the next signature.
