  1. Since I don't have unlimited money to throw around and I am generally not buying anything for the "investment value", I try and find a good balance between grade, price and availability. That generally puts me in the 8.5-9.2 range when it comes to Bronze books unless we are talking the high dollar "keys" like Hulk 181. Something like that would push me down into the 5.5-6.5 range. I like high grades as much as anyone but I would rather have a lower grade copy than no copy.

hey those are nice! glad you got some deals too! :)

lol dealers must have loved me last con....3 bboks i talked down from $150 to $140 get home to see the same 9.8's on ebay selling for $100 haha

The Spidey was $75 cheaper than a 7.5 two booths over, they were the only graded copies I found at the con. The G.I. Joe is just so dang hard to find at a reasonable price I didn't even blink before I said "I'll take it".

  3. I don't know what the number of days is at, but I submitted books through a facilitator at ECCC that I am still waiting for...

If you have an invoice number you can call CGC to check the status and get the "received" date when your clock started. Once you know that date this thread can be a rough guide.

    Naelbis,

Uhm, yeah. I subbed some at WW PDX and ECCC and have subsequently subbed twice more since. Only the last batch hasn't come back so you should have gotten your ECCCs months ago I would think.

That does not inspire confidence...these aren't cheap moderns I am missing.

  4. I thought it was the weakest season finale I have seen in a long time. I honestly think that the constant changing of showrunners is starting to kill the show. Andrea dying seems more like a throwaway studio decision based on focus groups than actual plot development. I never even blinked and she is a major player! I think the show lacks focus and that it is in danger of become the same old Hollywood that the show broke away from.

  5. I've never fired a gun. Have no desire. I know friends with lots of guns. I've warned them that I will be over their place once the world falls to pieces. lol

You can petition for entry into my fortress when the zombie apocalypse comes. Just bring booze, eyecandy and slabs to trade and I will guarantee you safe harbor, food and power....

    Sounds like the Governor himself.

Nah, I'm not that crazy...not quite anyway.

  6. Regarding getting your books signed in person and submitting yourself, what is the best method for handling multiple books over a con? I have several books I am taking to ECCC and I would rather not fill out a submission form for each one. Other than giving my books to Rich_Henn or Menace (which as awesome as their services are, detracts from the whole experience for me), all I can think of is having someone follow me from line to line until they are all done so I can drop them at the CGC booth. Which honestly sounds a little far fetched. Obviously I am missing a key peice of information here, so I would appreciate some insights. The only book I have gotten SS before was at WW Chicago last August and that went straight from Stan Lee's booth to Desertwind.
