The proper term would be going rate; not inflated rate. I am actually pursing a doctorate, so learn to read properly before assuming as I recently finished my 2nd master's degree and am pursuing my doctorate simountaneously (sorry for the big word). BTW, it is also so cute that you have a want list in your signature line. Maybe one day you will aspire to fulfill that list, since it is not a tough list at all... Yes, you are right, they are worth $50,000. Congrats. Not sure if he thinks he could get 50k, but he would get more than 1k. You think there is only 1 hulk44. Ugh, again, I hope this guy gets thousands and thousands for this book. It only increases the value of my stack. But to your point, yes, there is only 1 hulk44. There have been 3 #2 9.9's for sale so far. Sold for $200, $200, and $250. Has there been any movement up in price for Revival since then? No. I'm sure he's excited which we all would be if I got a box from CGC with a 10.0. I'm not trying to rain on a parade. But when someone asks what it's worth and I give an opinion and get countered with a $7,500 sale example of a #1 SS, instead of looking at past sales of the exact same grade and issue, that's just nonsense. I never once alluded to the notion of me possibly getting a minimum of 50k, so your assumption is far fetched! The three sales of the 9.9 were within a few minutes, so they are not an adequate gauge of proper sales. Let's just say, for your amusement, we use your analogy of $250.00 as that is four times the normal sales rate of a 9.8, so the 10.0 would be a minimum of 1k based on the 4x sales of the 9.9s, which were only BIN's and not straight auction. Now if we use the analogy of the #1 sales; it would be different. The #1 sales hover around 100, and the 9.9s averaged around 900, so that is 9X's the sales of the 9.8s, and the 10 SS sold for $7,400, which is 7Xs the sales of the 9.9s. So now let's take that formula and apply it to the #2 10.0. 9.8s sell for 50.00 on average, so the 9.9 would sell for $450.00 (ideally), and then the 10.0, should sell for $3,100 (based on that formula of course). Did I miss something, HugeRosen? Simple math goes far in anticipation of sales...as does logic, what a thought, HugeRosen!!!! R_H

oh yeah...those three books, including, grading/shipping...I only paid about 90.00 R_H

So, based on what was said earlier by HugeRosen, then this little book is only worth $500.00 I have submitted about 60 books thus far to CGC and 57 9.8s, 2 9.9s, and now this little baby.... But the ironic part is that this little 3 book lot is only going to bring in 1k, supposedly, wow, what a shame, Thanks for looking, but I have to keep up, in agreement, with my screen-name!! R_H

Ryan, Good one! Wedding in Hawaii has been paid along with the 2nd reception in AZ and our honeymoon house/chef in Maui And I didn't have to sell any comics to get this all done; even better! Rumor is that you are/were thinking about moving the Revival 9.9 you have; any clarity on this? R_H

I don't even have a hallway My Revival #5 cover art is all pretty and framed and stuck in my closet. Wife said it's not 'living room' friendly. I disagree. All my comic stuff is in the office closet but I hang it in there and think of it as a very very small gallery to display my comics and sports memorabilia. Man, I would kill to have a tiny closet you lucky dog. Rooms are the way to go I have my own room in our house for my comics and sports mem stuff. My fiancee (wife in about 4 months) keeps telling me that I will have to give up my room for our future baby and I told her, "No, and would only concede if we get a bigger house." And now we will be looking for a bigger house after our wedding in July. R_H
