True, #25 is Zartan's 1st full appearance. #24 is a cameo. I posted both. Just like Bulk #180 is a cameo and #181 is full appearance.

Zartan had a cameo appearance in #24 and his full appearance was #25 as well as the original Dreadnoks, Buzzer, Ripper, and Torch.

I thought Shadowman #1 from Valiant was superb. ( good luck finding a pullbox #1 in nm ) Colder #1 from Dark Horse was interesting. WOW The 3 my LCS got were a mess. If anyone finds there even close to NM please tell us about it. Yeah, all the pullbox versions at my LCS had bad creases on the bottom right corner but not the regular covers?!

Can someone teach me how to spot a 2nd printing? Someone told me it's an indicia on the first page or something? The indicia inside is always the best place to look. (thumbs u +1 Also, some of the books have regular Spiderman (1st print) vs black Spiderman (2nd print), but be careful as the Spidey thing doesn't always work. Where should I look for this indicia? Can someone post a scan of this? Sent PM. Hope that helps!!

And you can always ask the seller to open it and send you a scan/picture. It will be stamped Second Printing or Third Printing. I had a seller send me a pic of an issue and I got a first printing for a steal.

Most of the 2nd printings will have a different price. Earlier issues that were 60 cents will have the 75 cents price. On later issues, I know on the direct editions, the 1st print has the "M" with the price/issue number while the later printings have the standard box.

There were 2nd printings (or variant copies printed months after the originals if people would rather call them that) of 3, 4, & 5 as well but no one seems to want to acknowledge them as such.... 126 is hard to find in 9.8 as well, it was one of the last issues I was able to get me hands on! I missed those issues. Not a fan of the entire slabbing, can't ever read it.

BleedingCool.com is probably the only place that drives speculators more than these forums. As soon as they post an article there (like on that), they always see an immediate surge in prices. I agree, hard part is when the site gets it wrong, which happens quite a bit lately. Seems the people on here get in right more than they do!!

(%) probability that it will go up. 100% right out of the gate what price do you think it will achieve? $40-50 Considering that I was selling the Avengers vs X-Men Hastings Variant #12 for that price, I an see this achieving the same or more since it's his #1 issue. how long we should hold it? short term initial sales on Hastings will be hot. Easy quick flip. additional notes: it will be an easy quick flip but the hardest part will be finding them in Near Mint condition and that the allocation from store to store varies greatly. I recall picking up 21 of the Avengers vs X-Men #12 from one store but that same exact store only received in 5 of the Uncanny Avengers #1 (1 was damaged) and I'm there as the guy is cutting the boxes open!!

The hunting is fun. Some of us just have to do it online. My LCS and only one in a 200-mile radius limited me to just two Catwoman #13. I still left some on the shelves. This week my daughter called for the Bravest Warriors and he told her that he had lots of them. We are a 5-min drive froer high ool so we went straight there and they were out of stock. I seriously doubt a whole bunch of people came in within 5 mins and bought them all up. So hunting online a lot of times is cheaper than a wasted gas trip.

Third eye eBay store has them for $15 free shipping look at the link Rosen posted above, there's like 5 left. Just pull the trigger, Tates ain't getting these things. I'll buy 1 for my own collection. These are not for flipping. There's going to be 2000 of these at least and if they keep adding new retailers as they produce more variants, the print run will be even higher on future 'phantom' variants. If you are lucky enough to live close to one of the retailers, maybe you will get it cheaper. Otherwise you are stuck ordering from the ones that have eBay or online stores at whatever they choose to charge. I figured my time and gas to drive to Third Eye and back would be roughly $2300. I'm cool with paying $14.99 I hear ya!! I live down south and I just snagged the last one Third Eye had up on eBay. They went fast!!!

i bought a bunch of hastings variants of Avengers vs Xmen 12 and Doctor Who 1. My only speculative buys this week I picked up 24 of the Avengers vs X-Men Hastings #12 variant. I sold quite a few already for as high as $41.

Isnt there some promo comic for Green Arrow out today? Could that be it? Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that is next Wednesday on 10/10 where they are giving away a promo Arrow comic at your LCS.
