A couple books I picked up this past weekend which I rather liked: The Red Seal has some tape on it, but was still pretty enough that I couldn't resist.

I too went to the Phoenix Comic Con this past weekend, and came away with a few books. As you can see, I'm not much for focusing on any one area....

This arrived this week. It's not high grade due to a small piece missing at the bottom of the spine/back cover, but it looks quite nice, and I've wanted a copy for a while.

One more book I picked up at the Phoenix Comic Con. Not a title I've seen around here, but given the somewhat bland nature of the cover, that's not surprising. I love the thrilling blurb saying "plus other features". Wow. Such exciting marketing!

A couple of new acquisitions at the Phoenix Comic Con this past weekend

Went to the Phoenix Comic Con this past weekend, and after spending my budget just had to buy one more budget busting book. It has a little resto (color touch and staples replaced), but that just made it affordable, and it was too pretty to resist. My first book of the series, so now I'm a winner!

Two separate purchases which just arrived: This is my first original art page from a Golden age book, and I was pretty surprised at how large it is - significantly bigger than the modern art pages I have. This is from Jungle Comics 158, which was the last issue to include Wambi, so this may be his last appearance as his own book had already ended. Does anyone know if he appeared anyplace else after this, aside from the IW reprint?

The Cal Comic Con wasn't the only con around this weekend - they also had one in Phoenix which I went to. Managed to find a few books to make me happy.
