  1. Nice, a year ago is pretty late to be finding one for that price I also got mine cheap, but a fair bit longer ago. For anyone not familiar with it, Grey, not Green, is the rare one. Always buy it if you find it
  2. let me know if anyone finds one of these in the wild
  3. The book fell 20% in 2 months, that a yearly loss rate of -120%. A tiny increase in raw sales from cBSi lemmings following that PUMP article doesnt mean the book is heating up. Define heating up, and then tell me what triggered this book to heat up. Of course you will ignore everything I just said, but if this is a heating up on ebay thread, people should be able to discuss whether something is heating up or not. The dump will come if the pump is successful. As for Tec880, i didnt try to talk the book down, I pointed to the fact that it was selling for the same price as last spring, which it was.
  4. Can you explain whom you are referring to, and an example of these books and their niche markets. People buying books that no one cares about, and then attempting to create demand for those books, IS PUMPING. Pumping isnt selling books that are already expensive, its talking up books that arent expensive to try and increase them in value.
  5. no one is disputing the rarity. There are tons of rare books, Bedlam RRP is a rare book. The supply side isnt what is being shilled, its the demand that is being shilled. The problem is, they are creating fake demand and exploiting it. Obviously, once the fake demand exists, legitimate people will sell into it. Saying that Carnage is heating up is BS though. The book in 9.8, a few days ago sold for NEGATIVE 20% of the most recent sale at that time. That is a book going down, not up. Writing an article and posting in this thead is manufactured hype, pushing a falling book up. That is shilling, and its what cBSi is doing.
  6. the scam is in the fact that the interest is manufactured, and the people manufacturing buy before the BS, and sell after. Literally, buy, pump, dump.
  7. sorry i confused you, I could have added /sarc to my post, but i was trying to be more tongue in cheek about it, as others said. I have always been and will always be about protecting the less experienced for the hucksters.
  8. CGC 9.8 Sep. 24,2016 => $134.95 USD CGC 9.8 Nov. 20,2016 => $110.00 USD Has this changed? No. Facts dont care about feelings or opinions, they just are. cBSi and this thread, can't change those sales. A thread about heating up books, should be about heating up books. 2x 9.8 sales in three months=terrible, with the more recent one 20% lower than the last=horrendous, this book does not belong in a heating up thread. Period.
  9. which series are we talking about here, the original Ms Marvel? No her last series before the new Ms Marvel came out the title ran to issue 50 in 2006. I seldom see the last 6 or 7 issues. So This? 47-50. (added the #1 variants to the pic cause ): Dark Reign ran from 34-46, so I wonder if that's part of the cause of them not being around. I think probably Dark Reign boosted subscriptions, and then people bailed out of it. This series and Ghost Rider 06ish were two longer run books I really enjoyed. 03ish was when i got back into comics, buying stuff online etc, but it was 06 that I finally got my pull lists rolling again. Civil War really got me back onboard full steam, World War Hulk finished me on crossover events again.
  10. Those SIF variants I have followed, watched, had ebay alerts on, have BOUGHT MULTIPLE TIMES, from the day they came out, until today. I buy them every now and then when a deal comes up, or when I am working on adding to my collection from that series. I like to own multiples of things I have an interest in, for future slabbing, signing, etc type actions. I bought a copy of all of the SIF variants except the inflated TAN, on Nov 21/22, for a combined price of under $100. None of them were heating up, all of them were available at low prices, all of them had multiples available. NO ONE CARED. All of the ones I bought had multiple watchers on them. THESE ARE FACTS, FACTS WITH PROOF AND LINKS Sif was not heating up, any heat in it is FABRICATED. The same with CARNAGE. I have never bought that book but I showed that the CGC 9.8 price fell 20% from Sept to Nov, with a seller taking the only decent offer they could get. Both of these as "heating up books" is BS being peddled. This thread, and these boards, are being used to try and MAKE it true. These books have such low print runs that they are very easy to manipulate, ie cornering a market. People have bought these books and are trying to flip them through deceit and lies, ebay manipulation, and CGC Forum shilling. Don't believe the cBSi Don't believe the lies
  11. Essentially, its a comic book pyramid scheme Top of the pyramid buys some books with low print run that no one is interested in and can be gotten cheap. Then they announce it to the "members" making up the second tier, by talking up and pushing the books. The second tier then lemming buy all the remaining affordable copies off ebay creating so called "heat". Then both tiers list the books at absurdly high prices and come announce here that its "heating up" to the bottom tier, on these boards. Then they wait for guppies to bite on the overpriced listings and scream, "see look", at the completed sales. Likely, some of the bigger scumbags swimming in these circles will also produce fake sales if the real sales dont come.
  12. my favourite JIM variant hasnt been caught up in their BS yet (its not Venom, and not Sif). If they ever point their BS beams at my favourite, I will genuinely blow a stack. They made a mistake trying to pimp books I literally bought a week ago. I have all my purchase history, and watches still on the other copies available at that time that I didnt purchase. (including ones that completed without sale) All these $99+ sif variants are complete and total cBSi shilling and were not there at all on the 21st. Only the Tan variant had one grossly overpriced for sale, which is obviously where their buying started earlier in the month, which seeing those completed sales is what caused me to pull the trigger on all the rest. We are talking $7-$25 dollars max, per book, a week ago. Now a bunch of them are listed at $99+ total cBSi
  13. Would it have something to do with an article on some website lately? I bought a bunch of them 7-8 days ago (on the 21st,22nd) as its a series I have collected for years, and apparently they were some of the watchers on them(each book had multiple watchers on them),then they bought a bunch after me thinking there was "heat" coming, and are now trying to shill them
  14. what are the rules regarding shilling on the boards, can action be taken against this cBSi nonsense?
  15. Wow..... A.) that site is garbage and everything on it is BS B.) Keep the BS off of books I actually collect, shill up things I dont actually enjoy C.) I hope the people posting in this thread about both the books in that garbage post had nothing to do with writing said garbage post. D.) I'd tell you what I really think of cBSi but I might get moderated. E.) Might have to do an n00b-protection-anti-cBSi-shilling blog, and post here showing real sales data everytime they try to pump and dump something.
  16. I am not putting an opinion in there, just sharing sales data.
  17. For those unable to see real prices of best offers, or that the $140 was a best offer:
  18. 2x 9.8 CGC sales on ebay, Sept 24 & Nov 20. November 20th, 18.5% decline from September.... CGC 9.8 Sep. 24,2016 => $134.95 USD CGC 9.8 Nov. 20,2016 => $110.00 USD http://www.ebay.com/itm/Superior-Carnage-2013-1B-Chechetto-Variant-CGC-9-8-/331975164605 US $134.95 Sep 24, 2016 http://www.ebay.com/itm/SUPERIOR-CARNAGE-1-Marco-Checchetto-1-25-Variant-CGC-9-8-/201699198986 7***7 ( 669 Feedback) US $110.00 Accepted 20-Nov-16
  19. The venom cover nonsense spiked that one to the moon, but the rest are still pretty reasonable. Looks like the shills are starting to try to pump the Sif ones sadly. I've got multiples of everything but love adding to my collection. If you ever want to sell your run (excluding the venom), shoot me a PM.
  20. I'd buy an interesting lower value wall book. Something I wouldn't normally buy otherwise. Maybe something to start working on building a run from in a series I dont collect currently. Not moderns, and not something 9.8, I'd use it as a spring board to a new adventure.
  21. i'll pull the digital, read it and give you your answer
  22. I saw a couple of the earlier sales when I was making my buys on 21/22, part of the reason I cleaned out a couple sellers who had more than one (save on shipping). Collected them on and off for a couple years and didnt like some of the price action on the Tan variant. Hate that the Venom one got sucked into a craze, felt pressured to make sure I got more before similar nonsense happens to other ones. Certainly didnt want to contribute to it For instance, one my purcahses: http://www.ebay.com/itm/172378058873 That's one of the ones I bought, and I see one two "sold" in the week since my purchase from a shill account for 3x as much: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Marvel-Journey-into-Mystery-Variant-Comic-Cover-Mint-650-only-400-made-/152322206609 and now someone is offering it for a cheap 17x what I paid: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Journey-Into-Mystery-650-Variant-1-50-Marvel-Comic-Book-400-made-NM-Thor-/262733233346 That's a great example BIN shilling. That $65 is bull spoon, and anyone who even considers paying $350 is a raving lunatic. I bought it at $25US a week ago, with multiple available, and no one interested. Ebay shilling is outta control.
  23. I bought 5 or 6 different ones about a week ago, could be just me you are seeing. A lot of them had multiple watchers though, so I might have triggered a run on them. I see people have overpaid for a couple in the week since then. if the interest you are seeing started around the 21/22/23, that's when my mini buying spree was, and as I said, most had 5+ watchers.
