  1. I said A cover not 80% of them yeah! i remember seeing some covers for $2k plus on SplashPage. I've never seen any Invincible OA sell for close to that. out of my humble covers, most i paid was $1k and that wasn't even Ottley, it was the Giarrusso variant for #98. i chased that cover for like 2 years. as soon as i heard Chris was doing a variant for #98, i emailed him asking about the original art. it was available for $1k. at the time, that was way more than i could afford and had to pass. well, it sold like the next day and there it went, across the ocean into a collection for +/- 2 years. popped up a few months back due to a need of funds and finally scored it for the same price. this badboy arrived today. from a friend of a friend of a friend kinda thing. no idea. Invincible #45 page 02
  2. I've heard at some shows, that list is almost full by the time the doors open. dealers fill up the spots. been seeing that happen with a lot of artists the last few years. i think there was even some beef at Heroes where a guy rented a table just so he could get in and get on all those lists before the reg paying attendees entered the con. thats shady. i hope to make the list in SLC.
  3. Allan opened a brothel on Telescria, business is booming, alien sex ain't cheap. Oliver has been spreading his half Viltrumite seed across the universe while recruiting employees for Allan. Those guys!
  4. I've got a few Anissa pages, just picked up the splash from issue 45 where she's slamming Mark into the ground. cost me a bit, but, now that i think about it, not that much more than a reg splash would cost. my son is going to help me after SLC con put all my pages in chronological order. honestly, new pages arrive every week, its gonna be tough to keep straight. i didn't realize until recently that you can view all the gallery pages (if titled similarly) in that order on CAF. its like a super fast review of almost the whole series. lots of inquiries as to where you can find pages. in my best knowledge, all Ottley pages were pulled from splashpage awhile back. there are still some inked pages that Cliff did from the series on that site. Moy has i think 3 pages, all $250 each. the fella that lives locally has a pencil splash for $500. a few pages pop up on eBay from time to time, but, nowadays, they'll be asking for top market value. Ottley has a stack of pages with him at every convention he attends. other than that, the pages are with collectors. you gotta do a little bit of leg work and find them. they're all out there. finding a perspective seller and a little negotiating will get you a long way. patience is always required. use the force.
  5. Whoa! That's her 1st appearance, right? Impressive. She's on this Viltrumite war page I scored yesterday. I bought it sight/issue/page unseen, so, it was a brilliant surprise!
  6. Patrick, welcome to the OA club. congrats! soon you'll find you're searching for a 2nd page, then a 3rd and so on. those pages with Anissa sure shot up real quick in price/value, hope you didn't get waxed. she's one of my favorites as well. i think the initial layouts (blue lines) are being done on a digital device. on a side note, today completed a transaction that left me with 17 new Invincible OA pages. yesterdays batch was 10 Walker pages and 1 Ottley. today i added almost the rest of the guys collection, 5 more Walker pages and a beautiful Ottley page. he kept a splash from the Viltrumite war, it was sweet, but, what i was offering and what he wanted (coincidentally what he paid) were just too far apart. it was super nice to not only meet a friendly fellow collector looking to unload his Invincible pages, but, he was also only a 30 minute drive away. A+. heres one of my grail pages. was in the lot. Invincible #95 page 14 by Cory Walker (the conception of Monax)
  7. Ah, needed a good laugh today. I just got a page from issue #98, pencils. The paper stock, gotta be honest, I am not a fan of. I tweeted Ryan when the page showed up and asked about it. He had to switch paper because the old stuff (that I like) wouldn't feed through his printer. Last I heard he had a stack of close to 80 pages at Heroes.
  8. gotta agree with ya. that arc is so completely relevant with where the series is right now. i met up with a local today that sold me 10 Walker pages, many of which are from that arc. he's got a few others that i may pick up tomorrow including one of my Invincible grail pages. only problem is he knows i want it bad because i mentioned it in conversation. he then says, "oh, i have that page". damn. heres another that was with the Walker pages received tonight. an Ottley beauty.
  9. I've been trying to get my wife to read Invincible for years. my 13 year old is caught up, but, the wife just won't do it. i even wrote scripts and she still couldn't muster the interest to compare to what i had written to the actual material. go figure.
  10. hey, other rob, i don't have a copy of that recalled 94!
  11. +1 I'd take Eve any day. I don't know. Those last few pages of 110 looked like a good time. Eve would never do that to Mark.
  12. I think 108 is maybe one of the most awesome comic related experiences I've ever had.
  13. bryan, this is really cool, the first invincible art I've seen on glass. nice.
  14. I'm thinking Invincible needing to "start over" (stranded) in an alternate universe is completely plausible and something that I would love to see. It's all ready. He has disappeared before only to be found years and years later (in the reg universe), right? It's a brilliant idea. Like I said, I'd love to see Anissa get stuck with Mark. Who knows who would still be alive in another universe. We could revisit those that have passed (Rex, Dinosaurus, Conquest, hell even Thaddeus would be great to see again). Vice versa works as well. Maybe Oliver, Eve, and Cecil are all dead. Damn.
  15. Wouldn't Invincible have the alternate dimension friendly counterparts that could help him? Things could go all kinds of crazy. Mark wouldn't see his baby from Eve until after it's born, when he comes back with Viltrumite babies via Anissa after they're both stranded somewhere sexy.
  16. Angstrom is absolutely one of my favorite characters in Invincible. I really hope things get wacky in the upcoming issues and we see some characters get "stuck" in another dimension. The possibilities are endless.
  17. That's pretty much what I was budgeting for a commission. The OA pages is a whole other ball game.
  18. Definitely cover quality for sures. It looks great! I can only hope to have a commission as cool as this. I am planning on heavy debt after Heroes. May need to blowout some slabs for extra funds at some point before then.
  19. not sure my link worked earlier. http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=84057
  20. I'm headed to another con where Ottley will be, but, I can't say which it is as he hasn't "officially" announced it yet. I know a guy.
  21. Whoa. That's crazy. I'm trying to focus on only OA this year. I finally get to meet Ottley at Heroes this year, hoping to get a commission from him then.
  22. Thanks, man! You helped! No, just #30 and #43. I do have an unused cover to #30 also. Here's a link to my CAF. http://www.comicartfans.com/my/GalleryDetail.asp?GCat=84057
  23. Ryan has all his art now. Not sure whether we will see him selling it himself or none at all. Can't believe this is the first time I've seen this thread. Invincible is my favorite book and almost every piece of art I've ever collected is from the series.
