Hey kids, is there a chance that maybe some of you could stop replying to a seller's thread with icons and phrasing like "nice pick-up" and such..?? It's getting really hard to go through a selling thread without seeing this nonsense posted and it also makes it difficult to get through a thread itself. If you're not asking about a book, why post at all..??

Much over-do kudos to Greggy, Divad, Foolkiller, PKW, BillBreck, Lizards2, Jazzman, Comicnut, Mrschmidt, Jeffo, Rube11, Blind Owl, DavidKing632,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,all these forumites have sold books that were dead on in grade and shipped in a timely manner. Special kudos to Mark(Esquire Comics) for the Spider-Man #1 I bought a few months back....

I hope things work out for all concerned....great guy to buy books from....

If he mailed it USPS, I don't believe we have tracking numbers from the US to Canada, if it's UPS, you might want to contact them. This is true, the USPS will not have tracking to Canada, but a UPS package will!!!

Very interesting comments from both sides of the coin. I would say, in my own "defense", that it wasn't the "money" that turned me off of this transaction, it was the micro-managing, if you will, of the sale. I don't know who these Donnelly Brothers are, and I really don't care now, but the whole package of a PO BOX under someone else's name, the Paypal fee addition for use of a credit card and the fact that this was a "first-time seller" , and a new one at that on the boards, made me just not want to deal with this whole situation. Heck, it wasn't worth all the aggravation and if it ballooned into a problem for me, then I would have been mad at myself more than Steve. I just wanted to give the guy $60 for the book and then wait for it in the US Mail..........

We are all adults here(most of us) and the use of the "F" word by me was used, from my point of view, since I said it, in a way like one would say "hit the road" or "get out of here". Also, it was used through e-mail, not this board!! So I don't feel Steve should have even mentioned my use of it. I would remind you I only "said" it to him after he threatened me with this "non-paying bidder" post. If the "F" words bother you, I suggest you should "man up".............it's not that bad.

Oh well, here we go again with board drama...............people jumping all over another member without the true facts. If anyone doesn't want to sell to me, that's too bad as I always pay, so it's your loss. I am quick to pay and I have spent thousands of dollars on this board since I joined. If some new member starts talking trash about a member who has been around for years and has bought some expensive books from this board, maybe you should wait until the "accused" has his say. The problem with this $60 transaction was that I didn't like the way the transaction was being dictated to me by the seller after I agreed to buy the book. First, I was told to send payment to a PO BOX in California that was registered to someone other than Steve(the seller)..............I didn't like that. Second, Steve wanted me to pay via my Paypal "balance"...........I didn't like that either because of the PO BOX scenario and the fact that I had insufficient protection against not receiving the book. With a credit card Paypal payment, I can dispute the charge if I don't get the book. Third, Steve PM'ed me that he would take a credit card Paypal payment if I split the Paypal fee with him...........now I never do that on this site or Ebay. So I told Steve that he was making this $60 transaction too "difficult" and I would rather not do business with him on this book.........too many red flags were going off as far as I was concerned. I didn't like having to send money to someone else(he said it is his brother's PO BOX) and I didn't like the "extortion" of him wanting me to cover half of the Paypal fee. I did tell Steve through an outside e-mail to "F" himself AFTER he threatened me with a non-paying bidder post, not before anything else was said between us. There now you have my side of the story. I may have missed a few things, but there it is in a nutshell from my end. As for all the Comcasthawk "attacks" and insults that will be posted after this, for your information, I have already fessed up to the incident with October(Andy) many months ago. We shook internet hands and put it behind us. I have since bought many books from him as well as a lot of other people on this site. If anyone has sold to me, they know a transaction with me is always simple.....post or e-mail a scan of a book..........come to an agreement on the book with shipping............I pay immediately or the next day(via Paypal) or I send payment through the mail. Yeah, I'm such a bad guy,huh..??

Might as well complete a few more "unsaid" kudos to October and ft88. Andy and Ed always "undergrade" a bit, in my opinion, and ship when they say it will be sent.

I have additional "thanks" to Brent(QualityComix).............always good to PM with on the boards. He packs his books like they are going into a time capsule. More "kudo's" going out to Silver for a great copy of FF26. Thanks again, Danny and the rest of you who I have bought from. I can't even remember that last time I purchased a decent book on-line anywhere else. You guys put the "rock" in "rock 'n roll".......

I never have posted in this thread before, but would a "refund" that has not been recieved for over 2 months count..?? I won't mention the person's name just yet, but this has been going on for so long that I feel a public disclosure may be warranted. Checking this person last "logged on" post, it is date Oct. 30th. We've had e-mail exchanges from the start and he did acknowledge that a refund was in order and he did get the books back, but notta since then...... However, my PM says it was "unread by none", so I guess he knows I am not happy, but I am being very patient. One thing concerning Old Man, he was on a buying spree a while back and he did let me "have" a book that he posted an "I'll Take It" on. I wonder what really happened to him...

Will you be relisting the books..

Maybe we should post a thread about non-paying members and have a "due date" after say 30 days from a sale. It's not fair to the seller to have to wait such a long time to receive payment. Especially since, another member might have posted an and paid more promptly. Just a thought.....
