  1. Just got my confirmation as well. I have a hard time believing that the print run on FP is only 1000, regardless of what Larry is saying.

But hey, if that's true, then I am happy to own 10% of the print run. :whee:

Wow everything in America really is done supersize lol

  2. Sleeper and Niro. Awesomeness (thumbs u

You did this on purpose didnt you? Just throwing it in my face that Gaz owns pages upon pages of OA from Bedlam and I have diddly squat lol

I FINALLY finished reading 1-5. I'm anxious to see issue 6. But I'm leery of what it will be like after that. I'm not familiar with the new artist and his work. Has anyone see any previews of the artwork from 7 yet or another of the artists earlier works?

yes somewhere back in this thread there was talk of the new artist taking over, Ryan Browne, and his work, see a preview pic below.

  3. Just read it. It's worth the hype. Very good first issue.

Also read Saga #11, Think Tank #6, and Clone #5.... Also, all top notch.

Reading more later, including re-reading EoW lol

I spent minutes just staring at the pages featuring the horseman of death, the white figure is just striking, pages look awesome

  4. So I'm curious how did anyone order the FP variants? I attempted to order a few copies and in return I just received an email stating that they don't ship outside of Europe now.... so how did you get your copy?

I think these guys all pre-ordered at least month in advance, I am pretty sure they still ship outside EU, but maybe they enforced this restriction for East of West FP variant due to high demand?

  5. Picked up 2 copies from my LCS yesterday. Gonna buy the Phantom Variant today. Already pre ordered the UK copy.. All I need now is the RRP

wait wat? theres a phantom variant now too?

Not that i'm complaining, phantom variants are usually pretty nice.

  6. Well i'll definitely be adding East of West to my pull list, good first issue!

I was not impressed by the art in the preview showing the first few pages, but art looks excellent, especially the scenes featuring the main character. Those segments were by far the best also.

I understand when people feel they cant follow the plot in Hickman first issues, but it's pretty clear it will all come together completely in future issues, looking forward to issue 2!

o and it seems everyone and their dog is trying to sell multiple issues on ebay lol

  7. the worn down spine (spine rub) is a common problem with the Helheim #1 copies...I think it's the way it's processed from the printing company.

ah I did not know that

Oh man, you have me worried about my order now.

I am sure for international they would ship much better

  8. I'm not sure how FP ship internationally, but I finally received few Helheim copies (2 normal and 2 phantom - it didnt look like they would ship so i managed to buy copy for myself from ltd edition comix, who are excellent btw, anyway i digress), and it arrived in a standard thick god damn brown envelope. They didnt even bother to individually bag the comics either, just plonked them back to back in a single comic bag. To top it off one copy had worn down spine in several places, and another had a large crease in the upper right corner.

  9. holy petunias that looks great :o

My worries about Rossmo leaving are now at ease, cant wait to get my hands on next issue and see the art (and the continuation of the story of course :) )

  10. I have a feeling this will have a very big print run, lot of people seem to be pre-ordering multiple copies of it, in the hope it will be like other image comics #1 and be able to flip them to make some money. Image will also anticipate this.

Plus the storyline of this just seems that it would appeal to a much larger audience, so Image would have given it a higher print run initially anyway.

Image doesn't work that way. I believe the standard print is orders +10%.

There will be some large orders, though, probably from retailers who have been on top of the last year's trends. I'd guess the print run will be around 25K.

ah did not know that, good to know :)

  12. If you have pre-ordered your order will say processing as item has not been released, and they do not charge your credit card until they ship, so you guys are probably good.

Now I have a feeling my order which was for Sex #1 and Helheim #1 (both normal and variant) will go the way of webslinger, and I will be told in days/weeks that my order cannot be met...I will be ringing them tomorrow.

Their stock for online store is probably whatever is in stock in actual store

  13. Forbidden Planet seem to have a poor system on their site...there does not seem to be a stock counter...you place an order, and you wont know if what you have ordered is out of stock

they dont even have an email address (normal forbidden planet not forbidden planet international)

  14. hmm will see what his art is like for this title, but there was something about Riley's art on this book that made it feel like a perfect fit.

Anyway doesnt matter as i'll still be picking up this title, after all the story is the main aspect
