I can't speak for others but I have always been fine having a decent looking raw copy of a 180 to go along with my CGC 9.6 181. I have never felt the necessity to own a graded 180 or spend any real money on a copy.

180 and 182 I will own in 9.8's or 9.6's one day, depending on how the book presents.

I didn't know there was a variant of that book besides the 2nd print.

I found a captain marvel 17 variant today at the LCS for $3 and decide to look up recent prices. Has anyone noticed the huge spike for 2nd prints?

In one of the last Heritage auctions, I went in heavy for this one. It doesn't fit my minimum grade of 9.4, but since I lost out on the 9.4 that Heritage offered earlier this year and prices are getting out of control on this issue, I made an exception.

 

So jealous...

I wonder what the platinum #1 is worth now.

 

It has to be more than the "Absolutely Nothing" it was worth yesterday.

 

Considering who they want to portray him, I would peg the "value" at somewhere around less than nothing now.

They officially confirmed Jaden Smith will be playing him in an upcoming media property.

Even my worst, unsealed copies moved for $15 this morning.

Wow! I'm sure that's good news for sellers... not sure it's good news for fans of the character.

This is the cover of Marvel's Free Comic Book Day offering, teasing the All-New, All-Different Avengers, which assumably will be released after Secret Wars wraps up in June under the same title. The characters will obviously be revealed over time, but it speculation of course is half the fun.

I'm guessing that's new Cap/Falcon in the middle — with wings again and the shield, obviously — and that looks like Iron Man on the left. I'm going to guess the Vision is on the upper-right, given that the character is wearing a cape and Vision will be a major part of the Age of Ultron movie. As for the bottom, this looked like Spider-Man to me... until I noticed his buccaneer-style boots, which Spidey doesn't wear.
